Ecco Soft 7 Sneaker History
Because of his strong background in making shoes, Karl Toosbuy had a dream of running his shoe factory. In 1963, his vision came to life when he founded the Ecco brand in Denmark. The initial production of the brand was exclusively offered for women and in limited amounts.
The company experienced a hard start. However, it wasn't until in the 1970s that the company found its big brand when designer Ejnar Truelsen, created the model "Joke," which pioneered the brand's other successful sneakers. By 1974, the brand opened its business internationally and established different factories across Asia, Canada, Europe, and United States.
Over the years, Ecco garnered the reputation of producing high-quality leather products, with people attesting to the performance and quality. It also has lived up to the philosophy of creating shoes that fit the feet instead of the opposite.
