Ecco Soft 7 Premium Tie History

Founded in 1963, Ecco is a Danish shoe brand that was founded by Karl Toosbuy in Denmark. Trained as a shoemaker from an early age, he decided to sell his house and quit his secure job as a shoe factory manager in Copenhagen. Together with his wife Birte and a 5-year old daughter, he moved in Bredebro to fulfill his dream and rented a small house.

The Toosbuys assembled their small team and started the shoe production in a small factory building. With a tough start, they initially made shoes that were limited to ladies only under the Venus brand. The Toosbuys worked longer hours and faced constant problems. It came to the point that they doubted themselves, wondered whether they would ever thrive or not.

In the 1970s, Ecco’s first breakthrough came when the brand’s designer Ejnar Truelsen made the shoe named the “Joke.” From there, the brand launched a series of other revolutionary shoes, adhering to their principle that footwear ought to fit the foot and not the other way around. Ecco continues to grow and has become a wardrobe staple for comfortable walking shoes for everyone. Presently, they own and operate tanneries and factories all throughout Europe and Asia.

The low-top Ecco Soft 7 Premium Tie is a modern leather sneaker, featuring a classic shape of the silhouette with the trendy outsoles. It is among the easy-to-wear essentials, allowing for everyday use. Like other low-profile Ecco footwear, you can take advantage of the supreme comfort that the Ecco Soft 7 Premium Tie provides.
