Ecco Sneak Tie History

Karl Toosbuy, trained from an early age as a shoemaker, founded Ecco in the town of Bredebro on the west coast of Denmark in 1963. Karl, together with his wife Birte, assembled a small team to start with the production in a small factory building. The Toosbuys worked extremely long hours and encountered several problems which led them to doubt whether they would thrive or not.

It was in the late ‘70s that Ecco reached its first breakthrough when the designer Ejnar Truelsen created the “JOKE.” After that, a series of revolutionary shoes were launched. The Toosbuys’ dream of having a company that controls its destiny and own its production came to pass.

At present, the company continues to create shoes that fit the foot and not the other way around. They are committed to delivering quality craftsmanship. Ecco owns and operates factories throughout Asia and Europe. Aside from producing their own leather for the shoes, the company also takes measures to protect the environment as they aim to deliver comfortable shoes to their consumers.

Released in the autumn of 2016, the low-top Ecco Sneak Tie has a sporty and sleek silhouette that features a retro-inspired design which delivers athletic street style. It utilizes Ecco Comfort Fibre System™ also known as ECFS™ comfort technology to maintain a fresh and dry interior. For enhanced comfort and fit, it is equipped with a padded tongue and collar.

Ecco Sneak Tie Style

It’s like retro meets modern with the go-anywhere Ecco Sneak Tie sneakers. It has an anatomical shape that precisely fits the foot while giving all-day comfort and a smart look to its wearer. This lace-up shoe has a combination of lightweight textile and soft leather for breathability. Its direct-injected outsole ensures durability and flexibility.

The shoe is versatile because it has a sporty profile, but with an understated casual style. For going to work, shopping around or any casual wear, men and women can easily pair this low-top sneaker with their denim jeans, shorts, joggers or a bit formal outfit. As for women who want a cheeky style, they may wear it with a classic white shirtdress.
