Ecco Jack Summer Sneaker History
Karl Toosbuy started off his billion dollar industry in 1963 when he decided to quit his shoe manager job in Copenhagen and settled in Bredebro to establish his own. He sold his original house to move to a small rented house and took over an empty factory which was purposely for agriculture. From there, he continued his passion of creating shoes which would soon be named Ecco.
From 16 employees at its start-up to 17,000 today, Ecco have enriched the global supply of shoes and other footwear globally. As the years progressed, the company dwelled further on precision and quality which sprouted several tanning factories under their umbrella located throughout the globe.
2009 marked the birth of the BIOM, a revolutionary running silhouette which became the basis for many models that were subsequently released. Soon after, technologies were a thing for Ecco shoes including the Ecco Comfort Fibre System which is a vegetable-based insole that is breathable and wicks moisture at the same time. This tech can be seen in the Ecco Jack Summer Sneaker which perfectly matches its breathable vents and lightweight style.
