- The Intrinsic TR Walk by Ecco is a trainer created for athletic walking on both urban surfaces and outdoor trails. Its design is inspired by the brand’s trail running footwear, which reflects in the shoe’s ability to provide support and stability for each step.
- The sole of the trainer is made of a fusion of polyurethane (PU) and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) which creates a more lasting underfoot support than the shoes with an EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) midsole.
- The upper features a combination of mesh and leather. They are strategically placed throughout the unit to provide support and breathability in the right areas.
The Ecco Intrinsic TR Walk is available in both male and female options. Men’s sizes are offered in a range from US 5 to 12.5, while ladies can choose between the US sizes 4 to 10.5. Widthwise, the trainer comes in a standard D - Medium profile for men and in a B - Medium width for women. The leather overlay on the vamp is meant to give a firm foothold in the forefoot, while the padded collar and tongue keep the rearfoot securely in place. The lace-up closure on the midfoot can be regulated to help the wearer achieve the appropriate fit.
The bottom of the Intrinsic TR Walk is lined with a transparent gum layer. It has a grippy nature to deliver traction on a variety of outdoor surfaces. The triangular vortex-like lugs are added throughout the unit to enhance the grip.
The Ecco Intrinsic TR Walk aims to provide durable underfoot support with the help of a PU/TPU midsole. This compound is not as lightweight as the EVA foam used in most walking shoes but is more hard-wearing. It protects lower extremities from the repetitive impact of dynamic walking. Its anatomical construction also helps the wearer enjoy a more natural feel during a stroll.
A removable Ecco Biom insole is found inside the footwear. Its purpose is to give extra padding and soft heel cushioning for maximized comfort.
The trainer employs a mix of materials to exploit the best properties of each. That way, engineered mesh offers a lightweight and breathable coverage, while leather overlays add support and durability in the forefoot and the heel sections.
The lacing system ensures that the foot stays securely locked down. The thick, sturdy laces run through a combination of fabric and metal eyelets, distributing equal pressure throughout the instep. A leather overlay on the tongue also prevents the laces from bunching up. An additional pair of external metal eyelets is placed close to the collar to help the wearer achieve the most secure fit.
