The Ecco Gillian Leather Slip-On sneakers are available in sizes exclusively for women. Unlike its lace-up counterpart, the Ecco Gillian Sneaker, this slip-on kick has an elastic upper that offers a tighter fit. This helps in keeping the foot in place but consequently making the shoe to be too narrow for some, especially for those who have wide feet.

Bring out the inner fashionista in you with the Ecco Gillian Slip On sneaker. Wear it with a pair of striped bag pants and a black long-sleeved sweater. The Ecco Gillian Slip-On in warm gray can be worn with a flowy midi skirt, a plain top, and a gray cardigan.

A signature feature found in all Ecco shoes, including the Gillian Slip On, is the high-quality full-grain leather upper.  It also comes with the FLUIDFORM technology that is also exclusive to the brand. This ensures enhanced cushioning with every step.

A company that is set to create innovative shoes using high-quality materials was born in Bredebro, Denmark on April 1, 1963. Its founder, Karl Toosbuy, started as a shoemaker at a very young age. He even dreamed of owning his own shoe company.

Despite rising to the top ranks of the company he was managing, Toosbuy was not satisfied. He gave up his stable job and moved his family from Copenhagen to the southwestern part of Denmark. He and his partner, Birte Toosbuy, published an ad in Jyllands-Posten that said: “Who wants us?”. Surprisingly, local entrepreneurs and farmers responded to the announcement, and that was the start of Ecco.

The first Ecco shoe design was called Venus and had pointy toes and thin heels. Because of the success of the Venus, the editor of a Danish fashion magazine compared with the designs of Charles Jourdan, a famous French designer during those days.

As the demand for comfortable shoes grew more and more, the Ecco Joke was launched with variations for both men and women. It, in fact, became the brand’s first classic shoe. During the 80s, Ecco invested in several innovations that revolutionized how shoes were made.

Fast forward to the present, Ecco has launched plenty of shoes in many different kinds of silhouettes, from high-heeled shoes to slip-on sneakers. The Ecco Gillian Slip On is one of them. It’s lightweight leather upper has a beautiful two-toned finish while its outsole is carefully engineered with an exclusive cushioning system for a barely-there fit and feel.
