Extremely popular sneakers because of their price range, versatility when it comes to style, and freedom of movement. Almost everyone is guaranteed to have low-top sneakers in their shoe rotation.
Mid-top sneakers extend toward the ankle for a little more support and hold. These lie somewhere in the middle between low-top and high-top sneakers in terms of usage and popularity.
Sneakers with collars that go above the ankles for optimal hold and support are some of the most sought-after models in lifestyle shoes. Most of these shoes take their roots from basketball and have easily or fashionably crossed to mainstream wear.

Regardless of cut, it's always good to start with sneakers that can be worn for the daily grind, also called as "beaters" by some, as these are usually cheaper, easy to clean, and still gives that lifestyle "edge" before going for those wallet-thinning models.
Sneakers dominantly take their heritage from running, basketball, skate, tennis, training, hiking, and football. Still retaining a few of their performance-based technologies, these sneakers have transcended their respective niches and have successfully and popularly transformed themselves as staples of fashion footwear.
Sneakers designed for a laidback, "cool" vibe that is built for lifestyle wear right from the get-go.

Fit & Sizing
Built with a textile upper with a hint of leather and a lightly cushioned footbed, the Ecco Cool 2.0 Textile GTX offers a comfortable fit and feel with ample support. A stretchable inner sock construction allows a plush and snug fit, while the lace-up closure permits a customizable fit. Flexible foot movement is possible as well, thanks to the low-top construction of this shoe and the textile material.
The Ecco Cool 2.0 Textile GTX is available in Medium width for both men's and women's sizing. Men have options from size 5/5.5 to 13/13.5, while women can choose from size 4/4.5 to 11/11.5. The fit is true to size for most reviewers.
Ecco Cool 2.0 Textile GTX Style
The Ecco Cool 2.0 Textile GTX throws an athleisure vibe right away with its sporty-casual design mixed with premium construction. The upper is not your typical textile material as it features a supportive KPU-grid, which functions for breathability and durability while giving the shoe a distinct look. Available in subtle colors of black, white, pink, or light blue, this innovative casual kick is ideal for shorts, jeans, or pants for a laid-back look that fits a day out, work, or travel.
The second version of the Ecco Cool has two versions - one with a leather upper (the Ecco Cool 2.0 Leather GTX) and another with a textile upper called the Ecco Cool 2.0 Textile GTX. Regardless of upper material, the Ecco Cool 2.0 GTX depicts some serious technologies for a sporty casual shoe that give it its character. Like the Ecco Cool, this low-top features a Gore-Tex Surround system, a waterproofing technology on the entire shoe that increases breathability. With a minor design tweak, it also adopted the midsole construction with hole-like TPU tubes that come out on the sides for 360° breathability.
Aside from the textile upper material, what makes the Ecco Cool 2.0 Textile GTX different is its textile inner sock construction that allows breathability without undermining the shoe’s waterproof feature.
Ecco Cool 2.0 Textile GTX History
Danish businessman Karl Toosbuy founded the Ecco Shoe brand in 1963 in Bredebo, Denmark. The company's production commenced with very limited pairs of ladies-exclusive shoes but eventually expanded to other products later on. In the ‘70s, designer Ejnar Truelsen came up with a shoe called the Joke, which was Ecco's first successful shoe model. Several other successful Ecco shoe models follow suit.
When the global market started recognizing Ecco shoes during the ‘80s, the brand had to expand production internationally. It also broadened its product range to include accessories and small leather goods and eventually started focusing on leather production with own tanneries located across the Netherlands, Indonesia, Thailand, and China.
Fast forward to 2017, as part of the brand’s consistent line-up of top-quality sneakers, Ecco released the Ecco Cool 2.0 Textile GTX shoe. This shoe is a sporty casual shoe with waterproof feature (GTX stands for Gore-Tex, a waterproof technology) and a textile upper. It released as part of the Ecco Cool 2.0 collection, along with the leather version of this shoe, the Ecco Cool 2.0 Leather GTX.
- The Ecco Cool 2.0 Textile GTX also features a direct-injected PU foam for all-day cushioning.
- The lightweight two-colored TPU outsole is flexible and durable.
- The GTX in the name means Gore-Tex, the waterproof technology utilized on this shoe.
