The best part of the shoe are the traction and the cushioning. I'm a guard and I love the low top cushion set up that we have here. The Micr G is beautiful.
I really like to recommend this shoe to anyone who can find the right fit.
While I personally liked the way the original Anatomix Spawn fit my feet more than the 2019 edition, the traction on this shoe is simply awesome. Micro G that feels good is a huge plus as well. Again, my only gripe was the dead space in the toe; had that not been a problem for me then these would have worked out perfectly for me. If the Under Armour Anatomix Spawn Low 2019 fits your needs and your foot, then this might end up being one of the steals of the year at just $110.
Making a comeback since its first appearance in 2014, the Under Armour Anatomix Spawn Low 2019 dominates the court once again. With an anatomical design, the shoe fuses a combination of technologies including TPU as well as a Micro G cushioning system to create the best experience on the court. An adaptive traction pattern created from a translucent rubber effectively delivers traction and grip in the hardwood.
Cushion. The Micro G foam technology acts as the cushioning for the pair. Created to be 30% thinner than the standard foams in the market, the element aids in reducing the overall weight of the shoe while maintaining a low-to-the-ground experience. Responsiveness has not taken a backseat either as the element has ‘High rebound” capabilities, giving the player a higher energy return.
Reinforcing the cushioning is an EVA die-cut sockliner which also adds to the support for the shoe.
Traction. Sporting a unique wavy traction pattern, the pair’s outsole is created with translucent rubber which creates grip for the pair. Designed for a shearing effect, this soleplate pattern allows for much quicker starts and stops.
Length and Width. The Under Armour Anatomix Spawn Low 2019 basketball shoe is available in the standard US sizing. It is also reported to be true to size.
Lockdown. The central lacing system of the pair has a unique design with lace holes situated in specific areas for maximum foot lockdown and security. Most notably, one of the lace holes is situated further into the lateral side of the forefoot to accommodate a tighter fit in the area.
An anatomical construction has been incorporated into the pair’s design. Several elements, including mesh, TPU, and PU, are used in the area. Interwoven layers of TPU paired with PU coated mesh is used for the shoe’s construction. The mesh material, in turn, creates a breathable sensation whilst remaining flexible.
Made in several colorways, the UA Anatomix Spawn Low 2019 can give one’s look numerous possibilities. While the pair has an uncanny design, it does not call too much attention to itself either. A casual look of a pair of jeans and a classic white tee would be apt. Throwing in a leather jacket for an edgier look is also a possibility.
