The Oboz Phoenix Low BDry is a low-cut day hiking shoe built specifically for women. Its fit is fairly true to size. It is offered in B – standard width. Its interior can accommodate individuals with feet characterized by higher insteps and arches. The shoe’s classic lacing system provides a secure and snug fit, while the footgear’s pull loop hastens on and off.
Thanks to the Phoenix Low BDry’s Granite Peak outsole, wearers can tackle trails with enough grip and slip resistance. Much of its ability to produce multi-directional surface traction comes from its 4-millimeter lugs. These mud-shedding protrusions are also present along the sides of the outsole, giving hikers extra security when performing lateral and medial maneuvers.
This shoe grants comfort underfoot and ground stability at the same time with its dual-density EVA midsole. It comes with two subcomponents: a nylon shank for additional arch support and a TPU chassis for extra torsional stability.
Alongside the footwear’s midsole for cushioning is the dual-density O Fit Insole—yet another Oboz-owned technology. It has a sculpted arch and a deep heel cup for added support. Its top layer is capable of wicking away sweat and moisture as well.
The Phoenix Low BDry’s upper is a combination of waterproof nubuck leather (at 1.6 millimeters thick), breathable mesh, and abrasion-resistant textile. Its water protection and breathability are further enhanced by the BDry waterproofing system. Its forefoot tip is also engineered with a molded rubber cap for toe protection.
