You can definitely play basketball in it. And, like I said, I was surprised at how much I liked it compared to like, how much I though I wasn't going to like it.
After a decade, Nike is bringing back one of the most loved LeBron James basketball shoes. The Nike LeBron VII was the first LeBron sneaker to feature Air Max cushioning and Flywire technology.
To support James's powerful moves, the Nike LeBron 7 features a basketball-specific Air Max unit that has 80 percent more air than previous full-length Max bags. These LeBron sneakers also introduced the Flywire technology in James's signature line.
Nike designer Jason Petrie also slimmed down the LeBron VII's silhouette and added elements from Jordan basketball sneakers to achieve a look that dominated both the court and the streets.
Cushion. The Nike LeBron 7 features the first full-length Air unit that is specifically engineered for basketball. Containing 80 percent more air, the Max Air bag provides unbelievable comfort. A foam midsole offers plush cushioning underfoot.
Traction. The Nike Air Max LeBron VII makes use of a full rubber outsole with a herringbone traction pattern that allows you to change directions and make quick cuts with ease.
Closure. These basketball sneakers feature a mid-top silhouette built with Flywire technology for increased lockdown and support. The lace-up closure offers a customizable fit.
These retro basketball sneakers are constructed of a mix of leather and synthetics for increased durability and support. A padded collar provides a soft and comfortable feel.
During the design phase of the LeBron 7, James demanded that his signature sneaker should be the best available on and off the court. With a blend of '90s style and innovative technology, designer Jason Petrie shattered the King's expectations as the Nike Air Max LeBron VII became one of the best footwear options in 2009.
The Nike LeBron 7 features a leather mudguard and an intricate straw-mat weave that delivers a heritage look straight out of the box. Signature details include "LBJ," "TWENTY," and "THREE." A large embroidered Swoosh and a debossed LeBron James logo on the tongue complete the silhouette.
These retro LeBron sneakers are available in several color options. Nike is also set to launch PE colorways to the general public.
