  • German brand Lowa added the new Locarno GTX Mid to their All Terrain Classic line. It embodies balance between the comfort of a hiking shoe and sturdiness of a boot. Its slim and contemporary look is attributed to the premium leather. A Gore-Tex lining helps maintain a cozy in-shoe environment.
  • The rebound property of its newly improved midsole yields a comfy ride even on the rockiest terrain. Its nylon shank and Monowrap frame enhance support.
  • The brand-owned Hybrid Trac has a profile optimized for use outdoors. Its multi-directional lugs provide surface traction.

The Lowa Locarno GTX Mid is a day hiking boot for men. It is a boot which caters to those who have a standard-width foot. It relatively runs true to size and comes in regular sizes. Its lacing system allows differentiated tension on the forefoot and shaft for a better fit.

To be able to tackle most types of terrain, this GTX hiking boot is equipped with the brand’s own Hybrid Trac outsole. It has triangular lugs that are widely spaced to channel water out underfoot, preventing slips and falls. The tread design on the toe and heel are layered to promote grip on ascents and descents.

Featuring a midsole optimized for comfort, the hybrid DuraPU/DynaPU renders durable cushioning and shock absorption. It is also equipped with a Medium Stabilizer, a piece of nylon material which offers support on a variety of outdoor activities. The Monowrap frame further enhances support and stability.

Thanks to its nubuck and fabric upper, this hiking boot offers durability and flexibility in a modern look. Its Gore-Tex membrane grants breathability and prevents water from seeping inside the boot.

The brand designers added overlays to areas more prone to wear, such as the toe and heel. Its ankle area is made of a softer material which allows the foot to flex comfortably. As for the lacing system, the Lowa-embossed metal eyelets dominate the lower part of the boot while three pairs of open hooks are located in the shaft area.
