Use - The Brooks ELMN8 v2 is a running spike that’s best suited for middle-distance races. These track running events can range from 400 meters to 1500 meters.
Spike Type - There are six pyramid spike pins attached to the track shoe. These are ¼ inch in length and are replaceable for multi-surface traction.
Spike Plate - A six-well, full-length Pebax® Rnew plate is equipped to the outsole of the distance spike. It houses the pins of the running shoe for versatile traction. Its makeup also poses for propulsion and flexibility—integral elements in distance races.
Although replicating some components from its predecessor, the ELMN8 v2 still features some refinements. With this iteration, a full-length BioMoGo midsole is incorporated. It helps attenuate shock and cushions the foot for comfort.
For a revamped look, it sports a redesigned upper. It is welded with 3D fit print overlays that enhance the structural reinforcement of the mid-range running platform.
To heighten comfort and avoid wasted weight, the track shoe has minimal tongue construction. This is also intended to target security.
The Brooks ELMN8 v2 only runs in men’s sizing scale and is designed using the standard width. It is advised that women should go 1.5 sizes down to secure precise fit and size.
The fit of the ELMN8 v2 is addressed by the mesh upper and the 3D fit print overlays integrated into its engineering. The mesh upper adapts to the shape of the foot, permitting lockdown. Meanwhile, the 3D fit print overlays are intended to reinforce the structure of the platform and keep the foot in place.
Exhibiting a good rigidity-to-weight ratio, a Pebax® Rnew spike plate is furnished to the outsole. It consists of a high-strength thermoplastic polymer that enhances the overall durability of the Brooks ELMN8 v2. Although rigid, the plate promotes underfoot cushioning and helps mitigate shock upon impact. It also presents flexible attributes, permitting unrestricted foot movements.
Sporting Brooks’ proprietary midsole innovation—BioMoGo midsole—Brooks ELMN8 v2 delivers a responsive ride to the runner. BioMoGo is made out of biodegradable, environmentally-friendly materials. It breaks down 50 times faster than standard foam midsoles in active landfills. It has a featherlight composition, adhering to the overall fashion of the running platform.
To keep weight at an absolute minimum, the ELMN8 v2 is supplemented with an ultra-light mesh. It has a number of perforations that permit sufficient airflow into the foot chamber. It also has foot-conforming properties that improve lockdown and security.
Amplifying structural integrity and added security, 3D fit print overlays are embellished on the upper. These push the foot down into the midsole, preventing slippage and unwanted removal—may it be in competitions or training.
