- The Avia Avi-Rove II borrows a lot of its features from the original Avi-Rove walking trainer. Both models utilize an ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) midsole for impact absorption and rubber pods for enhanced traction.
- Both iterations use mesh for the upper. What differentiates the Avi-Rove II from the original is the placement of the synthetic overlays. The toe box of the older version is protected by a strip of synthetic material. While the new version lacks this feature, it does have an external heel clip made of a synthetic component that steadies the rearfoot.
- Other points of comparison are the stitchings at the lateral and medial sides. The previous version has stitchings spaced far apart while the new model has the threads placed closer to each other. This change concentrates the support in the middle of the quarters.
The Avia Avi-Rove II accommodates the unique shape and needs of women’s feet. It is available in US ladies’ sizes from 6 to 11. As for the width, it comes in both B - Medium and D - Wide. The lace-up closure allows users to adjust the midfoot fit for a secure and snug fit.
The EVA midsole also serves as the main outsole of the Avia Avi-Rove II, which is designed to be durable. But some hard-wearing areas, like the heel, under the arch, and the forefoot, are lined with solid rubber pods to increase its defense against abrasion.
The unit features flex grooves at the forefoot section. These furrows enhance the flexibility of the sole unit to promote natural foot motions.
The Avia Avi-Rove II utilizes a molded EVA midsole. This platform is constructed to be lightweight without compromising its ability to attenuate shock. It has the Archrocker feature incorporated into it to prevent overpronation and underpronation. It keeps the foot steady as motion control walking shoes do.
Another structure that decreases impact is the Cantilever system in the heel. This component acts like a trampoline to reduce the shock felt at the rearfoot when the heel strikes the ground.
Providing users with a comfortable footbed is the GELfoam sockliner. This layer also enhances the shock absorption property of the midsole. It is removable, allowing purchasers to replace it with inserts of their choosing.
Offering protection and support for the foot is the mesh upper. The one-piece seamless construction and the textile interior lining ensure that there will be nothing to irritate the skin. The open-pore construction aids in keeping the foot chamber fresh.
Synthetic overlays reinforce the eyestay. It prevents the holes from getting too big or tear because of the regular cinching of the laces. There’s also a synthetic leather element at the rearfoot which serves as a clip that prevents heel slippage.
The Avia Avi-Rove II employs a lacing system at the midfoot. This structure allows users to adjust the fit according to their liking.
Amping up the comfort level is the plush tongue and collar. The foam on these parts prevents chafing and adds to the snug fit of the upper.
