Use - The Asics Hyper LD 5 is built for track and field events, ranging from sprints to long-distance events. Just like other track and field running shoes, the Hyper LD 5 is built to facilitate a grippy and lightweight running experience, conserving the energy of the user.

Spike Type - The shoe features 5 pyramid spikes with a ¼ inch diameter. These spikes allow maximum traction, regardless of surface. With such configuration, the shoe is also equipped to deliver powerful strides. These spikes are also renowned for maximizing performance on synthetic track surfaces.

Spike Plate - The Hyper LD 5 utilizes a nylon spike plate which is known for being highly durable, thus positively affecting the life span of the shoe. It is also integrated into the platform in order to deliver a superb grip on track surfaces, delivering a stable and safe ride.

The Hyper LD 5 is built for long-distance races and for beginning tracksters. It offers a more abundant amount of ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) cushioning compared to its predecessor, which enhances the comfort and plush in-shoe experience of the user.

To maintain the quality of the shoe line, the Asics Hyper LD 5 still employs a nylon spike plate that promotes ground traction.

Being a unisex track and field shoe, the Asics Hyper LD 5 is available in men’s sizing. For women, it is recommended that they get a pair going 1.5 sizes down.

The toebox height of the shoe is medium to low to keep the foot secure and in place. For a lockdown and adjustable fit of the shoe, a lace-up fastening system is integrated.

Offering durability and excellent surface traction, the Hyper LD 5 sports a nylon spike plate. To deliver a grippy and stable running experience, embedded on the outsole of the shoe are 5 ¼ inch pyramid spikes and spike wrench.

To deliver a more cushioned in-shoe experience, an ample amount of EVA foam runs full-length. This feature heightens the comfort delivered by the shoe. This component also protects the foot from impact shock.

The upper of the Hyper LD 5 features an air mesh which is the same upper construction of the Adidas Distancestar. This design helps the shoe achieve a lightweight construction while allowing enough air circulation into the shoe. It provides the shoe sufficient breathability, keeping the foot feeling cool and fresh.

For an adjustable and snug fit, a traditional lace-up closure is supplemented to the shoe. To further the security of the Hyper LD 5, seamless overlays are added. These also provide structural integrity to the shoe, while delivering lightweight performance.

Lastly, a slip lasting promotes the lightweight feel and flexibility of the shoe. Such construction involves wrapping and stitching the upper before it is glued to the midsole.
