DC Pure XE Style

Most skate shoes today are minimally constructed for a lightweight ride, and this makes the DC Pure XE a standout. Boasting an old-school skate shoe vibe, this low-top secure abundant padding surrounding the collar and the tongue which makes it appear a bit bulky. Despite its chunkiness, it still looks great when worn with jeans or shorts for skateboarding or even for a casual day out.

Notable Features

The DC Pure XE is one of the favorite skate shoes by many because of three main functions: it is comfortable, functional, and stylish. On the upper is a mix of suede and leather with varying prints and colors depending on the colorway. Also featured is DC’s DGT, otherwise known as the Dynamic Grip Technology, sole for optimum grip and traction. Added protection and sturdiness is ensured with this shoe’s performance cupsole construction.

DC Pure XE History

Known prevalently for its top-of-the-line performance skate shoes, the DC Shoe Co. started as a footwear leg of Droors Clothing before being acquired by Quicksilver in 2004. Founded in 1993 by Ken Block and Damon Way, the brand slowly established itself in the skate community by producing high-performance skate shoes and forming an elite skate team.

Today, the DC Shoe brand features products that include footwear for men, women, and kids, apparel, and accessories for skateboarding and snowboarding. Its product line of skate shoes remains significant in the skate community with constant releases of skate shoes that allow wearers to perform in style.

One of the established DC skate shoe that has been on the market for so long is the DC Pure model. Many loved its aesthetics, but above all is the features that make it a functional skate shoe with comfort and protection on and off the board. Like any other successful models, releases of different iterations of this model is inevitable. Throughout the years, several versions of the Pure have been released including the DC Pure XE.

The DC Pure XE resembles the base model DC Pure, with its chunkiness from the sufficiently padded tongue and collar, and ample reinforcements. But, with this iteration, wearers get more stylish with the fun textures and prints incorporated on the upper, while having a protected and comfortable ride. The DC Pure XE is available in multiple colorways.
