DC Magnolia TX History

The DC brand was founded in Carlsbad, California by Ken Block and Damon Way who met during a community college class. At first, they started the Blunt Magazine, Eightball Clothing, Type A Snowboards, and Droors Clothing. In 1993, the Droors Clothing eventually became the DC Shoes. By 1995, the company had hit $7 million in sales revenue and continued to grow in the next ten years.

Historically, Quicksilver bought the DC shoes for $87 million in March 2004, leading the brand to unlock another milestone and generate a billion dollars in revenue. Currently, DC is among the global brands in the skateboarding world. It also expanded its product line to women’s, men’s and kid’s lifestyle shoes, apparel and accessories.
