Updates to Danner x Timbers 600 2018 Edition

  • Danner collaborated with Portland Timbers to create footwear for outdoor lovers and sports enthusiasts. The Danner X Timbers 600 2018 Edition is both durable and waterproof, thanks to its full-grain leather upper with Danner Dry technology.
  • This limited edition footwear employs the Mountain 600 silhouette. It has a Vibram Specialized Performance Elastomer (SPE) midsole which grants flexibility and comfort. The Fuga outsole, on the other hand, delivers surface traction.

Danner x Timbers 600 2018 Edition size and fit

Catering to male and female hikers, the 2018 edition of Danner X Timbers 600 2018 Edition from Danner comes in standard width. It is also offered in whole and half sizes.

This mid-cut day hiking boot is shaped using the DPDX last. It has a low volume profile but still provides a room for toe splaying. Danner recommends getting a half size smaller than what hikers usually wear as this pair runs slightly large.

Outsole

The Danner X Timbers 600 2018 Edition features the Vibram Fuga outsole. It is developed using the Megagrip compound which offers stability and grip on most surfaces. Its flex lines and self-adaptive lugs render flexibility and multidirectional traction, respectively

Midsole

The Vibram SPE midsole is a combination of synthetic rubber and EVA which delivers comfort and cushioning. It houses a nylon shank that provides underfoot rigidity without hindering the boot’s flexibility. Also, it has a removable Ortholite footbed which enhances comfort through its breathable open-cell PU construction.

Upper

Protecting the foot from the harsh outdoors is a full-grain leather upper. It comes with the proprietary Danner Dry technology. It’s a membrane that protects against water intrusions while allowing the foot to breathe for a cool in-shoe feel. A strip of leather is attached to the rear for added durability.

The 2018 edition of the Danner X Timbers 600 comes with two sets of flat laces—green and white—which go through five pairs of D-rings and two pairs of open hooks. Along the top of its padded tongue are loops which help keep it in place.

Additional Info

  • The RCTID label attached at the back of the boot stands for Rose City Til I Die.
  • The Portland Timbers logo is embossed at the lateral side of the boot. As an acknowledgment of their 2015 MLS championship, it has a star carved at the fifth D-ring.
