If you're seeking reliable trail footwear that's as light as it is durable, the Mountain 600 Low fits that bill.
If you’re looking for a comfortable, durable and lightweight pair of boots that you can throw on for a day hike around a national park or forest setting, these are a solid choice.
- A Performance Heritage shoe, the Mountain 600 Low is able to withstand the rugged Pacific Northwest in a lightweight package that's coupled with a classic look. Its upper is crafted with minimal seams and is lined with the proprietary Danner Dry membrane to maximize its trail performance.
- Its resilient Vibram SPE midsole provides cushioning and durability without the added weight. It works with an Ortholite footbed to enhance comfort and a nylon shank for support.
- Underfoot is a Vibram Fuga outsole that has self-adapting lugs and flex lines. The former takes care of the traction while the latter helps improve each stride.
The Mountain 600 Low caters to male and female adventurers. It is offered in standard width for men and women. There is a wide boot option for men. This hiking shoe is shaped using the DPDX last which grants a roomier fit. Danner recommends getting a half size smaller as this pair runs a bit large.
This low-cut day hiking shoe has a Vibram Fuga outsole infused with the Megagrip compound. Its profile includes flex lines which promote the natural rolling motion of the foot. The aggressive, self-adaptive lugs, on the other hand, provides multidirectional traction.
This day hiking shoe features the Vibram Specialized Performance Elastomer (SPE), a rubberized EVA midsole which yields lightweight cushioning and underfoot flexibility. It also has a nylon shank to render firmness and support.
Sitting atop the Vibram SPE midsole is an Ortholite footbed. This removable material is made of an open-cell PU which renders comfort and promotes air circulation inside the shoe. The visible TPU frame at the heel enhances support.
The upper of the Danner Mountain 600 Low comes in two versions. Its suede variant caters to men and women while the full-grain version is only available for men. Both styles feature the Danner Dry technology, a waterproof membrane which promotes breathability by allowing moisture inside to escape while preventing water intrusion.
It uses metal D-rings to facilitate quicker closure. Running along the exterior of the tongue (instep) is a pair of straps (lace keeper) where laces cross. This design helps maintain the alignment of the tongue.
