Feel the power course through your feet with each step when you’re wearing the Power Cushion 35. Like other Yonex badminton shoes, this model is equipped with a cushioning technology that effectively turns the force of impact into energy for take-off. The underside provides traction whichever direction you decide to take. And for the upper, the use of different materials ensures a secure foothold while also allowing movement and giving comfort.
Traction. Don’t be afraid to move quickly in any direction as the outsole of the Power Cushion 35 is made of sticky rubber. This compound is designed to grip smooth indoor floors. The traction of the underside is enhanced by the Hexagrip tread pattern. These six-sided polygons are scattered throughout the forefoot and heel areas. They allow the rubber to expand in multiple directions to maintain its grip even during quick footwork.
Agility. The outsole of the Power Cushion 35 also incorporates the Round Sole construction. This craftsmanship eliminates the edges of the outsole. It allows the foot to roll inwards so that the player can push off using the inside part of the foot for faster and smoother transitions.
Cushioning. Unique to Yonex shoes is the Power Cushion. This midsole technology has 3 times more shock absorbing property compared to typical urethane foam. What makes it stand out from other cushioning platforms is its bouncy nature. Its energy return is so effective that dropping an egg at 7 meters above the Power Cushion, the egg bounces back by 4 meters with no cracks on its shell.
What this means for badminton players is that they can swiftly move back and forth without feeling any strain on their lower extremities. The Power Cushion is also found in other Yonex shoes like the Power Cushion 65 Z.
Comfort. The Yonex Power Cushion 35 uses a combination of polyurethane (PU) leather and polyester mesh for the upper. The mesh fabric makes sure that the interior of the trainer is aerated. As for the PU leather, it holds the structure of the top and delivers support where it is needed.
Fit. The upper follows the Ergoshape construction. The top material conforms to the natural shape of the foot to promote natural flexion.
