Use - The Saucony Endorphin 3 is a long-distance running spike that is engineered with ultra-light materials. It can generate maximum surface traction to enhance the runner’s speed. This is especially true for running meets that range from 1500 meters to 10,000 meters.
Spike Plate - Similar to the configuration of most track and field spikes, this running shoe is furnished with a Pebax® plate. It increases the grip of the platform while maintaining lightweight makeup.
- Saucony has incorporated some of the previous version’s components into the Endorphin 3. However, there have been some minor fine-tuning made to better the performance of the track running spike.
- This is evident in the upper composition of the track shoe. Before this iteration, a knitted upper was implemented. However, with this third iteration, a mesh upper is integrated.
- Some of the retained features from the previous model are the long-distance spike’s Pebax® plate and SSL EVA midsole. Both of these elements adhere to the featherlight construction of the shoe.
The Saucony Endorphin 3 is designed using standard width. It is listed in men and women’s sizing scale. It is advised that before proceeding to purchase, one should try on the fit of the shoe first or go through various user feedback.
The components directly affecting the fit and size of the Endorphin 3 are the upper and the traditional lacing closure of the track and field spike. The mesh upper of the shoe gives a snug, flexible wrap around the foot. On the other hand, the lace-up closure gives an adjustable fit.
The outsole of the Saucony Endorphin 3 consists of a Pebax® plate. It is made of high-strength thermoplastic elastomer with low density. It allows for a lightweight yet durable configuration.
Moreover, it contains 4 spike wells that house the spike pins of the shoe. The plate is also intended for superior traction, supplementing stability and speed. The same outsole component is exhibited in the Nike Zoom Rival S 9.
For the distance spike’s midsole, an SSL EVA foam is embedded. It is a proprietary midsole technology from Saucony. It is also found in the predecessor of the Endorphin 3.
Dubbed as a premium midsole material, the SSL EVA foam is utilized for shock mitigation. It also supplies the rebounding properties of the platform. More importantly, it is responsible for delivering plush comfort to the foot.
The mesh upper of the Saucony Endorphin 3 has several perforations that permit sufficient airflow within the foot chamber. This poses for a breathable running experience, promoting a healthy foot environment.
It also has foot-conforming properties that give lockdown and security. It is ultra-light, which makes it an even more ideal upper element.
To complement the already foot-conforming mesh upper of the long-distance spike, a lace-up closure system is implemented. It allows a dialed-in fit, giving a versatile and comfortable fit.
