I'm very happy with them.
For days when I want to run up and down the trails regardless of the outdoor conditions, these are the perfect option in my closet.
Overall, a good pair of shoes.
- The Salomon OUTline Mid GTX is a lightweight boot ready for city walks and mountain hikes. Its textile upper is lined with a Gore-Tex laminate which enables it to tackle various challenges found in the outdoors.
- It features an injected EVA midsole and die-cut Ortholite insole. These two elements create a cushioned, comfortable and supportive ride. A Contagrip outsole, on the other hand, allows it to adhere to various terrain types.
This Salomon footgear caters to male and female hikers. It comes in a range of whole and half sizes. Both versions are available in standard width and fairly runs true to size.
The boot is built using the silhouette of a running last for a lightweight build. Its lace-up closure allows users to adjust the overall volume and to achieve a precise forefoot fit.
The Non-marking Contagrip outsole lets the Salomon OUTline Mid GTX grip on most types of terrain. Its 5 mm deep lugs anchor to the ground to maintain surefootedness. The unique geometrical design balances stability and performance on the trails. The sole extends upward in the toe region for added security against knocks.
This mid-top Gore-Tex boot features an ethylene-vinyl acetate or EVA midsole. It is a lightweight material which absorbs shock from ground impacts for a more comfortable ride. It is partnered with a die-cut Ortholite footbed which promotes comfort through moisture management and long-lasting cushioning. Thanks to the incorporation of an EVA heel cup, stability and support are enhanced.
The textile upper of the OUTline Mid GTX is lined with a Gore-Tex Insulated Comfort laminate. This combination yields a flexible, weatherproof and warm in-shoe feel. The welded Sensifit (seamless technology) also helps maintain the boot’s structural integrity.
For extra trail protection, it comes with a gusseted tongue and a synthetic toe cap. Its traditional closure system employs webbing eyelets and a pair of metal hooks. Lastly, the heel strap permits an easy on and off.
- Buyers who want a low-top, waterproof shoe might want to consider the Salomon OUTline GTX.
