Holding up alright after 6 weeks of use. Style looks so cool and awesome. Sizing feels a bit large but width is narrow. Cleat positioning feels a bit awkward and the shoe doesn't provide any space for cleat adjustment. Ventilation could be better. Straps have limited adjustments.
Who is it good for? The Tempo Powerstrap R5 suits road cyclists who put significance on the following features:
- Relatively stiff sole for versatile road cycling
- Minimal design
- Excellent fit
What makes it different? This pair’s innovative Powerstrap Velcro closure makes it unique from most cycling shoes. It is designed to envelop the whole foot by just pulling the strap.
Efficiently stiff soles. The Tempo Powerstrap R5 employs a Nylon composite outsole, which is supple for comfort and rigid enough for power transfer.
This Fizik cycling shoe features the traditional three-bolt road cleat design. Try these road pedals to pair with this model: Wellgo R096, Ritchey WCS Carbon Echelon, and Look Keo Classic 3.
Embossed markings are provided to aid in cleat positioning.
Durable. This shoe’s upper is crafted from perforated Microtex. It is durable and hugs the foot comfortably.
Unique retention system. Instead of the usual Velcro straps that merely pull together two sides of the shoe, this pair’s Powerstrap wraps around the whole upper in a single tug. T
his system replicates the brand’s Volume Control, where it can adjust fit in the instep and midfoot separately for a customized fit.
Fizik’s Tempo series is composed of road shoes that are designed for versatile use on paved roads.
