Lightweight, comfortable, and offering great performance, the ECCO Cage Pro is a modern looking golf shoe with a sole like nothing you’ve seen before.
At $210 there are certainly less expensive golf shoes on the market. The Cage Pros are still a great value because of their performance, style, and especially their durability. Highly recommended.
This shoe is perfect for someone who prefers the look and feel of spikeless shoes, but wants a little bit more stability than what they might typically provide.
They are ideal for days which involve 18 or even 36 holes. And there’s no need to change your shoes before or after the golf.
I love this shoe! It is certainly very close to being best in class, if not the best. The innovations work and they impact positively on performance, the shoe is comfortable, really comfortable and it looks great. There really is not a whole lot not to like. It is a go to shoe for almost any conditions!
Because they are the first, Ecco is one of the first few brands that come into mind in the spikeless footwear category. One of its releases, the Ecco Cage Pro, emphasizes the innovative spikeless outsole. However, looking at each of the shoe’s elements, it can be seen that its performance goes beyond the sole. The trainer is accentuated with modern technologies to improve its conduct on and off the course.
Ecco shows no signs of stopping in their spikeless golf shoe releases. Their latest addition is the Ecco Cage Pro. It is dressed with the revolutionary Ecco Spydr-Grip which is designed for maximum stability through the perforations of pressure pivot points. Each stud is also spaced out from each other, which garners plus points for green-friendliness.
The Spyder's material is made out of TPU, which is a popular material used on the outsole of performance trainers as it is 5x more durable than the typical rubber outsole.
Just like its predecessor, the Ecco Cage, the Pro version also uses the cage technology. It is a midsole heel cage design made of polyurethane that wraps the heel. It extends on the midsole up to the toe. This design secures the back of the foot and prevents it from slipping when walking or performing a swing. Moreover, because the material is flexible, it moves with the foot, giving the utmost comfort right out of the box.
Ecco is known to use unique materials, especially on the upper. For the Cage Pro, it is coated with Dritton leather which draws breathability and durability to the shoe. It is treated with Hydromax, the brand's waterproofing technology that ultimately equips it for all weather conditions.
With the high demands of golfers nowadays, function is not the only requirement that brands need to fulfill. Fashion is an essential part of this exclusive community. The Ecco Cage Pro retains the athletic look, but the polished leather upper sets it as a wearable off-the-course piece.
