Made from some of the most luxurious materials you’re likely to find on cycling shoes. Buy if, You want a little luxury when pushing round those pedals.
Superbly comfortable and supportive shoes... it's just the price that's the sticking point.
The Bont Vaypor+ is an uncompromising performance cycling shoe. For a cost, you aren’t left wanting.
Overall, the Vaypor+ 2016 lives up to the Vaypor name. It is a supremely stiff shoe, but remains very comfortable. It’s not the lightest shoe on the market, but the additional weight (564g in size 45 for the pair) can be forgiven due to its soft and supple upper.
They don’t ventilate well, and for such an expensive shoe the construction is a bit rough. But when they fit ideally, they feel like no other shoe—almost as if the cleat is part of your foot. And they are very stiff and quite light. If you want an ultraefficient-feeling shoe, the Vaypor+ will seem like magic.
At this price, I had hoped for a more comfortable experience out of the box but Bont’s unique approach to shoe construction requires a bit more work and ultimately doesn’t accommodate a wide enough range of insteps for this reviewer to give it a higher rating. But when trying on a pair for yourself, don’t resist them if you have a Cinderella moment. They are nicely crafted shoes that incorporate top-quality materials.
