I'm very impressed with this shoe as it got all the performance aspects I want and need but in a lightweight package.
I really love the FlyteFoam cushioning. This shoe's super comfortable, lightweight, and really responsive too.
Really felt uncomfortable with this shoe because I have wide foot and this is too long.
Aggressive movers are susceptible to tennis-related injuries since they’re the type who’d bravely slide, swing, and spin to score a point. Asics took account of these when it introduced the Solution Speed tennis shoe collection. One of the modified versions under this category is the Solution Speed FF.
Lightweight structure, supportive build, and sufficiently cushioned sole are some of the notable elements incorporated into this profile. It weighs a few grams lighter than the Gel Solution Speed 3 with the presence of the FlyteFoam cushioning that’s engineered to deliver responsiveness and maximum durability.
Composition. The high-wear zones of the outsole are built with a tough kind of rubber compound, the AHAR (Asics High Abrasion Resistant).
Function. The rubber outsole doesn’t only grant enhanced durability but offers a balance of grip and give that permits the wearer to spin around the court at full speed.
Support. Some of the newer profiles of Asics tennis shoes like the Solution Speed FF are built with the Twisstrust midfoot support. This mechanism inhibits lateral twisting to give the player the stability he needs when diving for the ball or sliding before reaching a full stop. This arch support that doesn’t come too high or low can back up a wide range of foot types without posing much discomfort.
Cushioning. Speed shoes like the Solution Speed FF are typically lightweight to allow the user to lunge, slide, and stretch towards any angle of the court confidently. The minimal load-bearing characteristic of this footgear is immensely contributed by the extremely lightweight FlyteFoam midsole technology.
This dense foam is lighter than the Solyte sponge found in the Asics Gel Solution Speed 3, Asics Gel Challenger 12, Asics Gel Resolution 7, among others. Made of natural fibers, this full-length cushioning unit helps reduce stress and impact to the feet with its responsive feature.
Aside from having a cushioned foam bed, this footgear also has Asics Gel units integrated under the ball of the foot and below the heel that work as an extra barrier against impact.
Adding more padding underfoot is the Ortholite sockliner. It doesn’t only intend to safeguard the foot from impact but keeps it dry and fresh with its moisture-wicking property.
Wrapping. This updated Solution Speed trainer is wrapped with the Flexion Fit upper engineering with a form-fitting attribute.
Protection. The PGuard toe protector is laid at the forefoot for improved durability since this section is prone to abrasion during toe drags.
The FlyteFoam Solution Speed shoe is formulated with two layers of memory foam lined on the heel collar for added protection during sudden directional changes. Its Personalized Heel Fit label is suggestive of its primary purpose, mainly to grant a customized fit around the rear side.
- Other variations of this profile are Asics Speed Solution FF Clay and Asics Solution Speed FF LE.
- Some of the pros that have relied on the benefits of the Asics Solution Speed FF are WTA tour titlists Julia Goerges (German) and Coco Vandeweghe (American); and one of ATP’s top 10 players David Goffin (Belgian).
