-This trad climbing shoe from Butora takes on big walls without compromising performance. Its leather upper comes with an organic hemp lining that balances durability and comfort. Its padded tongue and ankle optimize comfort.

-The Altura has a slip-last construction for all-day performance. It also employs a full-length midsole for support and a split leather footbed for underfoot freshness. Rock adherence is granted by the shoe’s Neo Fuse rubber outsole.

Downturn. Butora’s Altura is a mid-top neutral rock shoe. Its low asymmetry and flat profile provide wearers with comfort on various climbing disciplines.

Applications. According to Butora, the Altura excels at multi-pitch crack climbing on both big walls and micro edges. This trad machine maintains performance in different sending styles.

Butora Altura comes in narrow (green) and wide (orange) versions. The brand recommends getting a size up for comfort and a half size up for an aggressive fit.  The shoe’s stretch is kept to a minimum, thanks to the organic hemp lining. It has a lace-up closure that assists in adjusting the overall fit.

Midsole. This Butora offering carries a semi-flexible midsole. It allows climbers to slip into tiny cracks while providing support when edging and smearing. Promoting comfort and freshness underfoot is a moisture-wicking split leather footbed.

Outsole. The thick Neo Fuse outsole (a feature also present in the Butora Acro) of the Altura maximizes its adherence on slabs. Its rubber extends at the back of the shoe, providing extra stickiness when hooking.

Butora’s Altura comes with a sturdy German leather upper that conforms to the foot and yields a decent amount of breathability. Its interior is lined with a 100% organic hemp that helps control stretch and odor.

An open-cell Poron foam tongue increases comfort, especially when jamming. A closed-cell foam pads the ankle zone for extra protection. The rubber rand that surrounds the base of the upper shields against abrasion. There are tabs attached at the back of the shoe to facilitate easy on and off. Lastly, its closure system employs a flat lace that passes through nine pairs of eyelets.
