Use - The Brooks Wire v3 is a track running spike that yields optimal grip in middle-distance to long-distance races. These running meets can range from 1500 meters all the way up to 10000 meters.
Spike Type - Perfect for track rubber surfaces, pyramid pins are attached to the mid-distance spike. These spike pins are fashioned to be changeable for versatile grip on the track surface. Moreover, this spike type is known for digging into the ground for speed and stability.
Spike Plate - Flaunting both flexibility and durability, a Pebax® Rnew distance plate is equipped to the outsole. The plate also maintains featherlight composition and yields superb traction on various track surfaces.
To better support and lockdown, the placement of the track spike’s synthetic overlays has been reconfigured. These overlays are also responsible for reinforcing the structure of the platform.
A no-sew forefoot capture has also been incorporated into the upper design. This component holds on to the foot without causing irritation.
Lastly, a Strobel Last is introduced. Its engineering allows for flexibility and pronounced cushioning.
The Brooks Wire v3 is only offered in men’s sizing scheme and is designed using the standard width. Women are advised to deduct 1.5 from their usual size preference to secure precise fit and size.
One of the technical elements affecting the fit of the running platform is the lightweight mesh upper. This holds the foot securely in place by following the foot’s natural shape and contours. This is improved by the synthetic overlays bonded to the upper. These act as the shoe’s support and push the foot down into the midsole.
The outsole of the Brooks Wire v3 is equipped with a Pebax® Rnew distance plate. It is made of high-strength thermoplastic polymer, constituting its rigidity. This aids in providing protection from abrasion. Although stiff, the plate also exhibits a sufficient amount of flexibility. This promotes a wide range of foot movements for comfort and natural flex. Lastly, the makeup of the plate delivers superior traction on the ground.
Complementing the distance plate of the track shoe is the sharkskin outsole. This features a textured rubber compound that enhances the slip resistance of the running platform. Given this, the stability and speed of the athlete are improved. The same outsole element is present in the Nike Zoom D.
Running full-length on the midsole of the Brooks Wire v3 is the BioMoGo midsole. It is made out of environmentally friendly and biodegradable materials. It is intended for a highly responsive ride and plush, in-shoe comfort. Moreover, it mitigates the shock during impact, preventing foot trauma.
The upper of the Wire v3 features an ultra-light mesh that envelopes around the foot comfortably. It exhibits pliable properties, allowing the foot to move freely. It also has a number of perforations, creating a good airflow system within the foot chamber. This permits a healthy foot environment, free of moisture and odor.
Seamless synthetic overlays are welded to the upper for foot support and lockdown. These also enhance the structural integrity of the shoe.
A welded, no-sew forefoot capture is also implemented on the upper. It locks the foot in place without sacrificing comfort as it eliminates irritation.
Using a full-length layer of thin foam, Strobel Lasting is introduced into the running shoe’s engineering. This promotes comfort and flexibility.
