The Transcend is softer with a reconfigured midsole, making it an ideal trainer for pavement pounders.
A wonderfully comfortable and great fitting shoe with a soft ride. At least for me, the GuideRails are still “overdone” and to much of a contrast with the rest of the underfoot feel. I don’t mind support and some stability but I want to notice it less and not have it interfere with my stride quite so much.
Subtle shifts from the consistently great Glycerin means the Transcend is an excellent stability shoe, but it is still a stability shoe. Neutral runners should stick with the Glycerin, saving $10 and a half ounce of weight (as well as potential mechanics issues).
Like the Glycerin series, the Transcend is a relatively adaptive shoe in nature and is a great option for runners needing stability but something that isn’t obstructive or overly firm. I found it comfortable to walk around and do life in; stability is there but in a good way, but be aware of the Transcend’s fluffy backside, which may not translate well to your run if you’re not used to it.
- The Brooks Transcend 7 is strategically designed to level up and excel in the different road running activities that the user wishes to engage in. The shoe is intended to work well with those who need extra support. It features the reconfigured midsole. This material is essential in allowing more DNA LOFT cushioning to the underfoot. As a result, extreme plushness during the running session is experienced by the user.
The shoe utilizes a full-length, green rubber. This component of the running footwear is significant in optimizing the cushioned experience in the midsole area. The rubber also helps to improve grip needed throughout the running session. Even with the improvements, Brooks made sure that the weight of the is not compromised.
With the utilization of the plush interior liner in the upper area of the shoe, a more comfortable fit is experienced by the user. This material in the Brooks Transcend 7 is meant to surround the foot. It also expands and moves with every step in a natural manner. Because of the use of the 3D Fit Print technology and the engineered mesh upper, the fit is more enhanced. This results in more enjoyable running experience. Runners can start and finish the activity with ease and confidence.
Integrated into the outsole of the Brooks Transcend 7 is the full-length, green rubber. This material is optimized to provide a more cushioned experience to the midsole area. One of the rubber's sole responsibility is to improve traction without compromising the shoe's weight.
The newly configured ratio of the outsole and midsole is integrated into the shoe. This component of the running footwear enables the DNA LOFT to be enhanced. This is significant in providing a softer underfoot without compromising durability, responsiveness, and energy return. The same technology is used in making the Brooks Ghost 12.
Utilized in the shoe is the OrthoLite liner. This material is focused on delivering exceptional step-in comfort. With this feature of the shoe, a more enjoyable ride is experienced by the user.
Used in crafting the shoe is the updated GuideRails Holistic Support System. With the Transcend 7, Brooks focused their attention to the strain on the knees instead of the foot. Because of this shifting, the GuideRails encourages the stability of the runner's stride. This feature of the shoe also keeps the foot's excess movements under control. Thus, the knees, considered as one of the most injury-prone parts of the runner's body, are being protected and taken care of. This is significant in preventing any possible injury during the running activity.
The revised double jacquard mesh is employed in the shoe. Described as a stretchable material, this component of the running footwear is strategically designed to provide texture and flexibility. Brooks added this feature to offer added breathability, as well. It promotes a healthier and fresher foot environment that adds to the comfort level of the platform.
Used in making the Brooks Transcend 7 is the internal stretch bootie, which is also employed in the Brooks Transcend 6. The primary purpose of this feature is to enclose the foot tightly during the running session. As a result, the foot moves naturally and comfortably with every stride.
Along with the double jacquard mesh is the 3D Fit Print technology. This is essential in providing a more secure and snugger fit during the running session. With the utilization of the 3D Fit Print technology, the fit is enhanced to ensure better performance of the user.
The plush interior liner is incorporated in this running shoe. Brooks added this feature to surround and wrap the foot during the running activity. As a result, the foot is sure to expand and move naturally with every stride.
