Updates to Brooks Ghost 11 GTX

  • The Brooks Ghost 11 GTX is a road shoe that’s made for those who desire speed training and casual running. This product has been optimized for wet conditions, with a unique element on the upper that averts water infiltration.
  • Support is given to the underfoot via the proprietary cushioning units. The BioMoGo DNA is tasked with carrying the entire foot throughout the running session while the DNA Loft offers shock-attenuation and durability amid the constant striking forces.

Brooks Ghost 11 GTX size and fit

The GTX version of the Brooks Ghost 11 has a standard running shoe length. Full and half sizes are available for this model, permitting runners to tweak their sizing choices with ease. When it comes to width, the options are D – Medium for men and B – Medium for women.

The outsole unit makes use of blown rubber to protect against the abrasive nature of the surfaces. This compound has a slightly spongy characteristic that can potentially contribute to the overall cushioning capacity of the midsole.

Flex grooves are design elements that encourage the natural bending of the foot as it gears towards the toe-off phase of the gait cycle.

BioMoGo DNA is a full-length midsole that provides cushioning for the underfoot. The entire piece is made of recycled materials. The top portion contours the shape of the foot-pad, giving support to areas that aren’t usually addressed.

The DNA Loft technology is fundamentally a crash pad that receives the impact load when the foot strikes the ground. Its goal is to remain taut and intact, even after multiple uses.

The Segmented Crash Pad is a midsole design that involves dividing the platform into multiple sections. Such a configuration heightens flexibility and movement control. Moreover, it makes sure to isolate the impact force to the contact point, staving off any discomfort in the process.

The upper unit of the Brooks Ghost 11 GTX makes use of engineered mesh. This cloth-like material aims to hold the foot in place and provide flexible and breathable coverage. It has visible vents on its façade to welcome air into the foot-chamber.

The Gore-Tex® membrane acts as a shield against wetness. Its job is to make sure that the interior chamber of this shoe is dry, even when traversing through puddles and shallow streams. It doesn’t sacrifice breathability.

Printed overlays bolster the integrity of the shoe’s silhouette. They also work with the lacing system in providing a secure fit.

A heel counter helps the rear portion of the upper when it comes to holding the foot in place and preventing accidental shoe removals.
