Fit & Sizing

The women’s Birkenstock Rena is available in sizes ranging from 5/5.5 to 10/10.5. Much like the other Birkenstock sneakers, it is available in regular and narrow width. Many of the Birkenstock Rena reviews state that they are confused with the sizing. Some appreciate that the regular width is enough to accommodate wide feet while some say that it’s too narrow.

Birkenstock Rena Style

No need for any complication for the Birkenstock Rena. In fact, the design of the shoe is entirely nonexistent if that is even possible. There are two colorways available for these, navy and taupe. Both of which will pair well with leggings, shorts, skinny jeans, or a dress.

Notable Features

These sneakers may not stand out from the sea of sneakers in the market, but its simplicity will always be the Birkenstock Rena’s edge. The slip-on feature allows users to cut time off in their getting ready time and respond to life’s demands in an instant.

Birkenstock Rena History

In a small German village in 1774, Johann Adam Birkenstock started it all as a registered “subject and cobbler.” Continuing the legacy of the brand is his grandson, Konrad. Already dubbed as a master cobbler, he developed an idea that changed the shape of their shoe. Observing that the flat shape of the shoe does not match the curves of the feet, he decided to alter the shape of the shoe based on the contours of the feet.

In 1902, he developed the first flexible arch support insert, and it became widely available in Germany. Talent runs in the family as Karl, Konrad’s grandson, took his grandfather’s concept and infused it on a ready-to-wear shoe. From this, the Birkenstock sandal that we know now was born.

Later on, the brand expanded its business and included sneakers in its product catalog. One of which is the Birkenstock Rena. A women’s exclusive shoe, it is well- loved for its simplicity and no-fuss design.

Additional Info

  • The collar of these sneakers is lightly padded which further adds comfort to the feet.
  • The Birkenstock Rena features the signature contoured footbed which provides arch support.
