In 2015, Lee would have turned 75 and so to celebrate his 75th birthday on the 17th of November, 2015, West Coast retailer, Bait, along with Onitsuka Tiger and Bruce Lee Enterprises, teamed up.
One of the silhouettes that was picked for the collaboration was the Onitsuka Tiger Corsair which was first introduced in the year 1969. The classic silhouette was chosen for this collaborative release was because it carries the design that showcases similarities to the kung-fu slip-on shoe that Lee was always seen wearing.
The Bait x Bruce Lee x Onitsuka Tiger Corsair – Jeet Kune Corsair is given the touch of Bruce Lee in which the silhouette features the premium suede upper construction in black and navy blue with hints of leather that the new design mirrors Bruce Lee’s Kung Fu uniform.
