  • Designed for everyday walking, the Avia Avi-Volante is engineered using components that provide all-day comfort. The leather upper provides structure and support, while the mesh in the quarter and the collar keeps the inside well-ventilated.
  • The sole unit is made of the Fom Plus midsole. This cushioning technology is designed to reduce the shock created by the foot landing to keep the lower extremities free from discomfort. The heel uses the proprietary Cantilever structure that further reduces the impact from heel strike.
  • Another technology present in the midsole is the Archrocker. It promotes smooth forward rolling motion while preventing the foot from overpronating.

This walking trainer caters to the shape and dynamics of both men’s and women’s feet. It generally follows the standard measurement lengthwise. As for the width, the men’s version comes in D - Medium and 4E - Wide, while the women’s variant is obtainable in B - Medium and D - Wide. The padded interior of the shoe delivers a snug and cozy fit.

The bottom of the Avia Avi-Volante uses the Dura-Ryd. This compound is made to be durable to endure the wear and tear of walking on hard surfaces.

The multi-part construction adds traction and durability to the underside of the shoe without weighing it down. The sections are created by the flex grooves which assist in the natural foot flexion during the walking gait cycle.

For all-day comfort, the Avia Avi-Volante is equipped with the Fom Plus midsole. This technology is made to be soft to absorb shock and keep the foot comfortable, lessening the impact on joints.

The midfoot is shaped to accommodate the arch. This structure is called the Archrocker and it aims to strengthen the middle area to prevent torsion. It also guides the foot in smoothly rolling from the heel to the toes, preventing excessive inward rolling while walking.

Another technology used in the heel portion of the midsole is the Cantilever. This trampoline-like structure creates a bouncy effect that allows it to attenuate shock upon heel-strike and prepare for the next step.

The major part of the upper is made of leather. This material is hard-wearing and provides structure and support to the top part of the footwear. Synthetic overlays reinforce the high-wear areas such as the toe box, the eyestay, the quarter, and the rearfoot.

For ventilation, the upper has perforations in the vamp and the quarters. Some parts of the quarter and the collar are lined with mesh which allows the aeration of the foot chamber.

The trainer uses a traditional lace-up closure. It allows users to customize the fit by cinching or loosening the laces. The plush tongue prevents the laces from cutting into the instep and keeps the fit snug but unrestricted.

The padded collar locks the rearfoot down. It also supports the ankle and prevents chafing.
