  • The Avia Avi-Journey is a walking shoe that is engineered to be stylish and supportive. It has a low-cut profile that promotes ankle mobility. The leather upper is desigend to protect the foot while allowing it to breathe.
  • A removable GELfom sockliner is installed at the bottom to cradle the foot with comfort. It molds to the sole’s contours for even cushioning.
  • The model employs a molded EVA foam midsole for shock-absorbing properties. It is powered by two proprietary technologies. The first is the Archrocker, which supports the arch while encouraging a smooth heel-to-toe transition to lessen fatigue. On the other hand, the Cantilever is aimed to boost cushioning and support.
  • The outsole consists of multi-part solid rubber and flex grooves. This combination protects the trainer from the uneven and abrasive ground without hindering the movement of the wearer.

The Avia Avi-Journey is created to accommodate the foot and biomechanics of women.  It is available in US sizes 6 to 11. It typically runs true to size, so it is recommended to follow the standard shoe sizing scheme to get an accurate fit. Shoppers can choose from two width options: C - Medium and D - Wide.

The Avia Avi-Journey’s bottom is made of solid rubber, which is placed in multiple areas for optimal traction on a wide range of surfaces. It also protects the model from the harsh elements of the uneven ground. Flex grooves have also been crafted into the outsole to enable the foot to move unencumbered.

The Avia Avi-Journey utilizes a removable GELfom insole to deliver plush cushioning. It is molded to match the natural contours of the foot for even coverage.

The midsole is made of a molded EVA foam, a lightweight material that is meant to be shock-absorbent and supportive. It is also resistant to low temperatures, stress-cracks, and UV radiation.

The Archrocker technology is employed to foster a natural walking gait. It also supports the arch to prevent overpronation.

The midfoot uses the brand’s signature innovation, the Cantilever, the concave sole below the heel that propels the foot forward. This action results in increased heel stabilization, energy return, and impact protection.

The Avia Avi-Journey sports leather to provide protection and lateral support. It has a mesh collar and several perforation vents all over to allow the air to circulate within the foot chamber. Synthetic overlays are sewn onto the high-wear areas to prevent tears.

The tongue is padded to protect the skin against irritation from the shoelaces. It is also made of mesh to keep the instep cool.

A traditional lacing system is employed to lock the foot down. It also contributes to the lateral support since it makes the sides more rigid as the shoelaces are tightened.
