  • The Puma Hybrid Rocket Netfit is a versatile workout shoe for both men and women. Its upper is made of evoKNIT, a lightweight and breathable knitted fabric. It also features the Netfit lacing system that allows dynamic threading for a customized fit.
  • The midsole uses a hybrid cushioning technology. It is the fusion of the NRGY and IGNITE foams that provide a supportive platform which is able to attenuate shock and give back the energy to push off.
  • The underside is protected by rubber. It not only enhances the durability of the midsole but also provides traction.
  • The Hybrid Rocket Netfit shares an uncanny resemblance with the Hybrid Rocket Runner. They share the same upper and sole technologies. The main difference lies in the lacing system. The Hybrid Rocket Runner uses a unique side lacing system to deliver a bespoke fit.

The Puma Hybrid Rocket Netfit caters to both men and women. The men’s version comes in US sizes 7 to 14 while the women’s model is available in US sizes 5.5 to 10; half sizes are also offered for both. As for the width, the trainer is only obtainable in a medium width profile, which is D for men and B for women. The upper is made of knitted fabric that conforms to the foot for a snug fit but still accommodates the natural expansion of the foot while training and walking.

The bottom of the Puma Hybrid Rocket Netfit is lined with a rubber compound. Depending on the color of the model, the rubber could be translucent or not, though the purpose remains the same - to provide traction. It also features a tread pattern that promotes grip on various types of surfaces.

What makes the cushioning unit of the Puma Hybrid Rocket Netfit standout is the fusion of two of the brand’s proprietary foam technologies - the NRGY and the IGNITE. IGNITE is used as the primary foam which offers support and stability and encapsulates the NRGY beads which enhance the shock absorption of the unit. The combination of the two foams results in a responsive platform with a high energy return for an invigorated push off.

The sole unit is divided into three sections: the forefoot, the arch, and the heel. This construction facilitates flexion at the forefoot while maintaining as a stable heel and providing a supportive structure at the arch to prevent excessive twisting.

The Puma Hybrid Rocket Netfit uses a slip-on design but still features a dynamic lace-up structure. It utilizes the brand’s Netfit lacing system which is made up of numerous holes that can be used to personalize the fit.

The upper uses evoKNIT, a form-fitting knitted material. The fabric is breathable, keeping the inside fresh. It is also soft, accommodating the foot expansion and the toes splaying during workouts.

Both the tongue and the collar are thin to facilitate stretching when the foot is sliding in or out. There are pull tabs on top of the tongue and at the back of the collar to aid the user when putting on the trainer.
