The Asics Omniflex Attack has impressed a lot of purchasers with its price and style. It is also very comfortable to wear the high collar contribute to its lateral support. The downside of this pair of wrestling shoes is that the tongue is not durable. The outsole is also deemed slippery by a few individuals. But in the end, it has exceeded the expectations of critics when it comes to its performance on the mat.
Traction. The Asics Omniflex Attack features the Omniflex sole design. It uses two types of rubber with varying traction degrees. The more grippy type of rubber is placed on the toe, under the ball of the foot, and the heel to help wearers stand their ground or push off. The smoother compound extends upwards, covering some parts of the upper and most of the underside. This compound offers less friction, allowing wearers to slide their foot when needed.
Another wrestling trainer with a full-length rubber outsole is the Asics Matflex 5. It features an aggressive tread pattern that allows it to bit the mat and prevent slippage. This model uses a breathable mesh top with a lace garage to keep the shoestrings out of the way.
Steadiness. The sole unit also implements the brand’s Impact Guidance System. This construction allows the interlinked components of the unit to work seamlessly together for a smooth heel-to-toe transition.
Cushioning. The outsole of the Omniflex Attack also serves as the midsole unit. The soft nature of the rubber helps reduce the shock felt by the foot.
Comfort. The top of the Omniflex Attack is crafted from a mesh fabric. This material is breathable, which helps regulate the heat and moisture in the foot chamber. The lightly padded collar and internal sleeve prevent blisters and chafing.
Foothold. The upper is adorned with an intricate design made of synthetic materials that protect the mesh against abrasion. The synthetic overlays integrate with the lacing system, so tightening the shoestrings will result in enhanced medial and lateral support. On top of the tongue is a slot called the Lace Garage. This little pocket keeps shoelaces from getting in the way during matches.
Fit. The Flexion Fit Upper conforms to the shape of the foot to deliver maximum coverage and support. It also employs the Mono-Sock Fit technology, a compression sleeve inside that provides a snug and secure foothold.
