Updates to Asics Kanmei MX
- The Asics Kanmei MX is a neutral shoe that features a minimalist design to provide a neat and unbulky coverage. It’s also configured to accommodate those who have neutral pronation. Seamless construction prevents hot spots or skin irritation.
- A full-length foam unit serves as the midsole of this running companion. It is responsible for keeping the foot cushioned and safe from the impact forces. A removable cushioned insole offers additional support to those who desire it. A rubber base provides protection against wear and tear. Crisscrossing grooves encourage the natural flexibility of the wearer’s foot.
Asics Kanmei MX size and fit
The Asics Kanmei MX was designed using the standard measurements. It makes sure to accommodate the usual choices of consumers when it comes to length. The women’s version features the width profile of B – Medium while the one for men has the D – Medium option. The semi-curved shape of this running shoe’s last mimics the natural curve of the human foot.
A rubber layer serves as the outsole unit of the Asics Kanmei MX. It covers the entire platform, shielding it from the abrasive nature of the asphalt. It is also the one that’s responsible for surface traction. In comparison, the Nike Epic React Flyknit 2 uses a combination of rubber and foam to create the outsole; it delivers the same function as the Kanmei MX.
Crisscross flex grooves permit the natural flexibility of the foot. The diamond-shaped sections between these shallow trenches help in heightening grip over the ground.
The underfoot cushioning system is made primarily of a full-length foam that doesn’t have a substantial thickness. Runners who appreciate proprioception are the ones who can benefit from this close-to-the-ground material.
A foam footbed is placed right above the central mitigating platform. Its purpose is to add some more support for the underfoot. It can be removed or replaced with a custom insert if the runner so desires.
A breathable close-weave mesh makes up the external section of the upper unit. Its breathing pores allow air to enter the foot-chamber and maintain a cool and dry environment. On the other hand, its base shoe, the Asics Kanmei, uses basic seamless mesh.
There are thin overlays made of synthetic material. These printed add-ons bolster the façade while also helping the rest of the upper when it comes to hugging the foot securely.
A seamless interior configuration removes the use of stitching, thus encouraging a smooth and irritation-free run.
The lightly padded tongue and collar hold the foot in place, preventing it from wobbling or exiting shoe accidentally.
A pull tab is stitched to the heel portion of the collar. This fabric loop helps runners when wearing and removing the Asics Kanmei MX.
