The Asics GT 2000 8 Knit, a special edition of the Asics GT 2000 8, features a knitted upper instead of the usual mesh top. This road running shoe is designed for running longer distances. It also provides support for runners who exhibit mild to moderate overpronation.

The knitted upper keeps the foot warm when the weather is cold and keeps the foot cool when the weather is hot. The knit fabric also provides flexibility for a smooth running experience.

FlyteFoam® midsole is utilized to replace the Solyte midsole that is used in its previous versions. The FlyteFoam® material provides better energy return and is lighter compared to the Solyte midsole. For added cushioning, more Gel™ has also been integrated into the heel and forefoot sections.

The FlyteFoam® and Gel™ technology are working together with the full-width grooves in the outsole. The combination of these materials equipped the shoe to deliver enhanced cushioning and durability, making the platform more comfortable and flexible than ever before.

Several components affect the fit of this Asics running shoe. This includes the Ortholite® Sockliner that conforms to the natural shape of the foot. Other elements are the shoelaces and padded tongue, which offers a snug and customized in-shoe feel.

The Asics GT 2000 8 Knit incorporates the Asics High Abrasion Rubber (AHAR) for durability. This outsole material is created from a carbon rubber that is also used for highly durable car tires. It is an abrasion-resistant rubber that is more lightweight and durable compared to traditional rubber outsoles.

The AHAR outsole with full-width grooves is positioned beneath the forefoot for an excellent grip. Aside from providing firm traction on various surfaces, the flex grooves also enhance the shoe’s flexibility.

The Gel™ cushioning is positioned in both the rearfoot and forefoot sections. Gel™ technology is composed of a silicone-based gel, which is designed to attenuate shock during the impact and toe-off phases.

DuoMax Support System is featured in the Asics GT 2000 8 Knit to help reduce overpronation. This dual-density material is positioned in the midfoot section to improve stability and support.

FlyteFoam® technology is also utilized for exceptional energy return and responsiveness. This technology uses organic super-fibers that help reduce packing out, which usually happens with low-density foams. This material is also lighter than other midsole foams with comparable performance.

A thermal plastic midfoot unit called Trusstic System® technology is placed under the arch of the shoe for durability. This component reduces the weight of the sole without sacrificing the structural integrity of the shoe.

This shoe also features an Ortholite® Sockliner. It provides a high level of cushioning and breathability. The Ortholite® Sockliner is also used in the Asics Gel Contend 5

The Asics GT 2000 8 Knit features a knitted top that keeps the foot warm while running in cold conditions without compromising breathability. The knit fabric is a lightweight material that offers flexibility and socklike fit.

Padded tongue and heel collar are included in the shoe for added comfort. These elements keep the small rocks and debris from getting inside the shoe. For a secure and personalized fit, the traditional lace-up closure is also utilized in this lightweight running shoe. The shoelaces allow the user to adjust the tightness around the shoe.
