Updates to Asics GT 2000 6 Lite-Show

  • Moderate overpronators are the ones who are going to benefit most from the Asics GT 2000 6 Lite-Show. This running shoe has a cushioned midsole that has various technologies to steady the gait and improve the posture of the foot.
  • Seamless construction allows the wearer to experience a smooth and irritant-free interior coverage. Ensuring ventilation is a breathable mesh upper with non-restrictive overlays. A reflective coating makes the wearer more visible when running in low-light conditions.
  • Two rubber compounds are used in the outsole of the Asics GT 2000 6 Lite-Show. The purpose of these layers is to provide traction and protection against wear and tear. Moreover, the one that’s placed in the forefoot has a flexible and responsive nature.

Asics GT 2000 6 Lite-Show size and fit

The standard measurements were used in the making of the Asics GT 2000 6 Lite-Show. It follows the correct sizing schemes and the usual choices of consumers. The width profile of the women’s version is B – Medium while the one for men has the D – Medium variant. The semi-curved shape of this shoe’s last mimics the natural shape of the human foot.

Outsole

The outer sole of the Asics GT 2000 6 Lite-Show features the Asics High Abrasion Rubber or AHAR®. It is placed on the heel section. Its purpose is to protect the rest of the platform from wear and tear, as well as the impact forces during the foot-strike. It also doles out traction.

DuraSponge® is a more malleable version of AHAR®. Aside from providing grip over the surfaces, it potentially heightens cushioning and flexibility.

Flex grooves allow the platform to bend in conjunction with the wearer’s foot. The toe-off phase of the gait cycle is the one that benefits from this design.

Midsole

Flytefoam® makes up the majority of the GT 2000 6 Lite-Show’s cushioning unit. It’s a lightweight material that offers a responsive ride. It has organic super-fibers to bolster its structure and prevent sagging. The material is also utilized in the GT 2000 6, which is the base shoe of this model.

The heel and forefoot sections of the platform have GEL® cushioning units in them. These silicon-based gels work to absorb impact shock during the foot-strike, thus easing the underfoot experience.

The Dynamic DuoMax™ System is a high-density medial midfoot creation that’s meant to correct overpronation. It’s placed right below the main foam.

A vertical groove called the Guidance Line® leads the foot towards a smooth and natural performance.

The Guidance Trusstic System™ is a TPU foundation that intersects with the vertical groove. It aims to bolster the structure of the midsole and support the tendons of the foot-pad.

A ComforDry™ sock liner offers extra support and cushioning. It is capable of wicking off moisture and preventing the buildup of bacteria. 

Upper

Open mesh allows environmental air to enter the foot-chamber and provide a cool and dry experience for the runner. Prominent breathing pores ensure sufficient airflow.

A seamless interior construction averts hot spots and potential blistering. Runners can wear the Asics GT 2000 6 Lite-Show without socks because this configuration is touted to soft and smooth against the skin.

A padded collar has the job of clutching the heel and preventing it from exiting the foot-chamber unexpectedly.

Synthetic overlays with stitched reinforcements help the traditional lacing system when it comes to delivering a snug yet customizable fit.

Four discrete eyelets are fashioned near the rise of the instep. These free loops prevent lace-tension while also giving an accommodating wrap.
