- The Asics GT 1000 7 is an update to the series of stability running shoes that are meant for the roads. This model makes use of an updated toe box configuration to accommodate the natural spreading of the toes. The broad forefoot design also welcomes those who have wider foot-dimensions.
- The midsole is comprised of several cushioning materials and stability add-ons to deliver a steady underfoot experience. Two foam compounds handle the heel-to-toe transitions and the weight of the body while a silicon-based gel helps with impact attenuation. Dual-density foam in the midfoot works with a plastic piece to stabilize overpronation and prevent tendon strain.
Asics GT 1000 7 size and fit
The Asics GT 1000 7 was designed using the standard measurements. When it comes to size and width, consumers can expect choices that adhere to their usual anticipations. The available widths are D – Medium, 2E – Wide and 4E – Extra Wide for men, and B – Medium and D – Wide for women.
The SpevaFoam™ 45 lasting material offers additional cushioning and underfoot comfort for those who desire it, meaning that the layer that connects the midsole and the upper isn’t merely a stiff board.
The outsole unit of the GT 1000 7 features AHAR® or Asics High Abrasion Rubber, which is a layer of durable material that’s meant to protect the rest of the sole unit from wear and tear. It is also responsible for surface grip.
Flex grooves allow the platform to move more freely. It’s a practical design that encourages the natural mechanical transition of the foot as it goes through the gait cycle.
SpEVA is a full-length cushioning unit that’s designed to carry the foot throughout the running session. This material is also meant to be responsive and durable.
The FlyteFoam® Lyte is a bouncy foam that serves as the base of the Asics GT 1000 7’s heel. It is meant to add more energy to each step while also improving durability. It’s made using environmentally friendly compounds.
The heel makes use of the Gel® cushioning unit, which is a silicon-based gel that’s responsible for absorbing impact shock during the striking phase of the gait cycle.
The DuoMax® Support System is composed of a dual-density foam, the task of which is to act as a foundation for the arch of the foot. It fundamentally prevents overpronation.
