Overall, these are very great shoes. They do come in extra-wide, the 4E width. So, that's one of the main reasons why I got those to try on.
These ones are actually… really comfortable. It’s almost like, basically, walking and running on pillows.
These sneakers are so comfortable that you will want to wear them all day long.
If you are serious about running, then you really need to add this running shoe to your arsenal of running gear.
The cushioning makes the impact seems unnoticeable and my feet doesn’t feel tired after a elliptical or running session.
This shoe is popularly known for its versatility, excellent traction, durability, and comfortable feel.
- Durable protection and sure performance are part of the service given by the 5th version of the Gel Venture from Asics. Featuring a trail-specific outsole, a plush underfoot cushioning system, and an upper unit that’s meant to fully secure & protect the foot when running on the trails, this shoe is sure to deliver a comfortable running experience during those outdoor adventures.
- The upper unit makes use of durable materials that, when combined, protect the foot when traversing the trails. These materials don’t wear off or tear up easily, thus maintaining a great standard of service even after multiple uses.
- A great in-shoe feel is afforded by a breathable and comfortable inner lining. It keeps the foot cool and dry at all times, and even prevents pressure points that might result in irritation or blistering. The collar and tongue lock the foot in place.
- The mid-sole unit uses the industry-standard EVA foam. It’s durable, responsive and comfortable when stepped on. The heel even has an additional cushioning system, which delivers shock absorption and impact protection, especially when heel striking.
The Asics Gel Venture 5 just like its most recent version, the Gel Venture 6, has a standard running shoe length. It follows the regular measurements when it comes to length. The semi-curved shape allows the natural curved shape of the foot to acclimate well to it. It’s available in medium/standard width, which accommodates those with medium-sized feet.
The outsole unit of the Asics Gel Venture 5 was created to function specifically and optimally on the trails. It features gripping lugs that face multiple directions. These outsole lugs hold onto the surfaces well, making each uphill climb and descent more controlled and supported.
Just like in the popular Asics Gel Contend 4, this shoe uses the AHAR® or the Asics High Abrasion Resistant Rubber. It is made from materials that are able to resist wear and abrasion. It essentially protects the sole unit and the runner from the hazards of the trails, such as rough surfaces and debris.
The horizontal and vertical flex grooves provide a smoother stride and a flexible platform. It lets the foot move more naturally, thus making each step more natural and efficient.
Molded Ethylene vinyl acetate is a cushioning system that’s lightweight and responsive. It’s comfortable for the underside of the foot. It’s also capable of absorbing shock, thus making each landing easier to the foot.
The Gel® Cushioning System is placed in the rear section of this running shoe. It makes heel striking less strenuous by absorbing the impact shock and giving additional cushioning. It’s a helpful system for heel strikers.
The upper unit of the Gel Venture 5 uses a breathable mesh material. It provides a well-ventilated coverage at all times. It has been woven in a secure manner, so it doesn’t tear off or lose structural integrity easily.
Synthetic overlays that are stitched onto the upper gives structured support. These overlays are prominent in this shoe, so they wrap the foot snugly, while also protecting the upper from the harsh conditions of the trails.
A Synthetic toe and heel cap shields these sections from any debris that might come in contact with them. They keep the toes and the rear of the foot protection at all times. A pull-tab assists the runner when it comes to wearing and removing the shoe.
The inner sleeve of this shoe makes use of a breathable fabric that is soft and smooth. It doesn’t cause any skin irritation, so it’s possible to wear this shoe without any socks.
