  • The Asics Gel Scram 5, which is claimed to be a lightweight yet comfortable running shoe utilizes a full-length AmpliFoam™ midsole that provides added cushioning to the foot. Meanwhile, its predecessor, the Asics Gel Scram 4, uses EVA foam for its midsole. 
  • To further the comfortable ride provided by the shoe, there has been an update to its sockliner. It now utilizes a removable OrthoLite™ sockliner which aids orthotics. Prior to this iteration, an EVA sockliner has been employed.

The Asics Gel Scram 5 employs a trail-specific rubber outsole. It is highly durable and it protects the shoe from abrasive elements when running different terrains.
