The outsole features sticky wet-specific rubber that performs as expected, making stream crossings a breeze. The forefoot rock plate is a welcome addition, providing a bit of added protection against sharp rocks and stone bruising without making the shoe overly stiff.
- The Asics Gel Scout features the brand’s notable rearfoot and forefoot gel cushioning that efficiently absorbs shock during impact for a responsive ride. It gives enough amount of cushioning needed for road and light trail running.
- This use comes with an impressive grip. The lugs are aggressive and the outsole rubber is highly reliable, delivering enough amount of traction on varied surfaces.
The Gel Scout is available in a standard running shoe length. The forefoot is wide that allows natural foot splay, comfortably accommodating those runners with wider foot widths. The heel and the midfoot areas are of standard size. The men’s and women’s versions are both available in regular widths.
The outsole unit uses the Asics High Abrasion Rubber that delivers exceptional durability. It also features the trail-specific outsole that has opposite facing lugs for reliable traction during uphill climbs and downhill plunges. The Asics Gel Scout has a closed mesh upper coverage that prevents debris from entering the shoe while remaining comfortable and breathable. The tongue also has an anti-debris characteristic.
