Updates to Asics Gel Quantum 90

  • The Asics Gel Quantum 90 is crafted to be a road running shoe. It was specifically engineered for those who have neutral foot mechanisms. It features the breathable mesh upper that delivers proper ventilation that the user needs throughout the runs.
  • The 90 degrees Rearfoot GEL cushioning is utilized in the shoe. It aims to enhance shock absorption which results in a more comfortable and bouncier riding experience. High-energy return is then delivered to promote a more efficient run.
  • Integrated into the footwear is rubber outsole. The primary purpose of this material is to deliver exceptional traction and added durability to tackle a wide variety of paved surfaces.

Asics Gel Quantum 90 size and fit

The Asics Gel Quantum 90’s shoe length is true to size. With the utilization of a stretchable mesh, it ensures to provide a snugger fit that the runner would love. The shoe holds the right amount of traction, making the user feel confident especially when running on challenging surfaces. It has a breathable interior environment, making it comfortable to wear. The available width options are D – Medium for the men’s version and B – Medium for the women’s version.

Outsole

The rubber outsole is integrated into the Asics Gel Quantum 90. This component of the shoe aims to deliver excellent traction on different paved surfaces. The amount of grip provided by the outsole is significant in making the user start and finish his running activities with confidence.

Midsole

Just like the midsole in the popular Asics Gel Contend 4, the Gel Quantum 9 utilizes the EVA foam midsole. The primary focus of this lightweight material is to provide extra support during the running session. This component of the footwear delivers long-lasting durability and featherweight cushioning as well.

Shock absorption during the impact phase is the sole responsibility of the 90 degrees Rearfoot GEL cushioning. Like the Asics Gel Venture 6, this cushioning system lets the runner experience a smoother heel-to-toe transition. While providing a well-cushioned foot environment, it is sure to deliver a high-energy return. This is vital in keeping the user run without getting too tired to finish the session.

The HG10MM Heel Gradient is used in crafting the Asics Gel Quantum 90. This feature is essential in shifting the body mass forward, thus reducing and preventing strain on the limbs.

When compared to Asics Gel Nimbus 21, the Quantum 90 employs an Ortholite sock liner. The moulded EVA sock liner in Nimbus 21 helps reduce moisture while the Ortholite sock liner provides support. Both insoles are focused on delivering additional underfoot cushioning and comfort.

Upper

The primary material that makes up the shoe is the breathable mesh and synthetic upper. Spaces are present between the threads that are essential in allowing fresh air to pass through easily. This keeps the foot cool and dry throughout the running session. Because of the elastic characteristics of the mesh,  it further enhances the fit on foot for a better running experience.

The upper of the footwear was designed with seamless construction in the forefoot area. This component of the shoe helps in eliminating the possibility of irritation on the skin. With the absence of traditional seams and stitches, the upper appears to be minimalistic yet a stylish running shoe.

Integrated into the shoe is the breathable fabric lining. This aids in keeping the foot environment healthier and fresher.

Just like the other running shoes like the Asics GT 2000 7, a standard lace-up closure system has been added Asics Gel Quantum 90. With this feature, loosening and tightening the laces will be easier. Accidental slippage is then prevented when the fit is secured. While the runner is in action, he doesn't have to worry about the possibility of shoe removal.

Featured in the Gel Quantum 90 are the cushioned collar and tongue. Asics added these materials to provide additional comfort to the foot while running.
