The Asics Gel PTG MT is a shoe that’s offered in both men and women’s sizes. The guys can choose from sizes 4 to 14 while the women can select from sizes 5.5 to 15.5. The sneaker features a mid-top construction with padded collar and tongue for added comfort, ankle support, and cushioning. It utilizes the traditional lace-up closure to keep feet in place.

Outfitted in an old-school basketball silhouette, the Asics Gel PTG MT exudes a retro sporty look that is timeless and stylish at the same time. Despite its mid-top profile the shoe manages to retain a sleek and streamlined style, making it easy to pair with almost any casual ensemble. To complement the pair's sporty demeanor, going for a pair of joggers or activewear shorts are your best bets. For a more casual and laidback outfit, the guys can pair it with jeans or walking shorts while the ladies can match it with skirts or dresses.

This pair's charisma lies in its retro styling and would appeal to sneaker fans who love classic vintage kicks. Moreover enhancements such as added Asics branding, fuzeGEL heel wedge, and OrthoLite insole offer improved aesthetic and user experience.

The Asics Gel PTG MT is the modernized version of the brand's famous basketball silhouette released from the 80s. Also known as the Gel Point Getter (PTG), it is based on the Asics Fabre Point Getter introduced in 1983. The shoe retained the original's silhouette and leather upper with suede details however additional modern elements such as the fuzeGEL heel wedge and OrthoLite insole were applied for enhanced comfort.

The sneaker's GEL-infused sole is the brand's signature cushioning technology. It utilizes silicone gel instead of the usual "air" used by other brands. Asics specifically used the Alpha GEL that's being manufactured by a Japanese company called Taica. The Alpha GEL was applied on a wide range of products mainly for its softness, efficiency in shock absorption, and heat diffusion. Because of these characteristics, the technology was used primarily in running footwear.

  • The Asics Gel PTG MT is also available in several iterations: a collaborative pair called the Sasquatchfabrix x Asics Gel PTG MT and a gum sole
  • This shoe is offered in Medium width.
  • Perforation detailing is placed on the toe box and sides for breathability.
