  • This neutral running shoe is designed to support long-distance running while promoting natural foot movement.  Impact Guidance System (I.G.S™) is a technology that combines all other significant technical elements of the shoe to achieve natural foot motions and enhanced motion control. 
  • One of the noticeable updates on the Gel Nimbus 21 Platinum is the addition of the reflectivity materials on its upper. This is to enhance visibility during low-light occasions. 
  • For insole experience, one of the enhancements made to the Gel Nimbus 21 Platinum is the increase in the toe box room of the shoe. 
  • The shoe’s heel is wrapped with an exoskeletal structure via Heel Clutching System™  that promotes snug fit and security of the shoe. 

The Asics Gel Nimbus 21 Platinum is available in standard sizing scheme for both men and women. The components directly affecting the fit are the mesh upper, the shoe’s 3D printed overlay, and the medium tox box height the shoe has. The Gel Nimbus 21 Platinum also has a medium arch height and medium midfoot volume. 

Just like any other road running shoe, the Gel Nimbus 21 Platinum has an outsole made up of Asics High Abrasion Rubber (AHAR). The AHAR is placed on the wear-prone areas of the shoe in order to support durability. AHAR heel plug is also utilized to provide a smooth and fluid ride for the runner. 

One of the technologies in the shoe’s midsole is the Flytefoam Lyte, which provides lightweight cushioning. The integrated nano-fiber architecture in this component also promotes the durability of the shoe. 

Just like the Asics Gel Nimbus 21, it also contains Flytefoam Propel that enhances the runner’s spring and toe-off. 

Gel cushioning systems in the rearfoot and forefoot are also added in the shoe’s midsole. Both these cushioning systems are responsible for reducing shock during the toe-off phase of the gait cycle and impact. 

A Guidance Line sole helps stop the twisting of the foot. With the Guidance Line technology, assists in increasing gait efficiency. The Trusstic System is also an added component in the midfoot that enables stability and enhances the stride efficiency of the runner. 

The Ortholite X-40 sockliner is beneficial when running during warm weather because it utilizes an anti-bacterial material that reduces the odor, and serves as a sweat control component. This sockliner also provides added cushioning to enhance the comfort and impact absorption of the Gel Nimbus 21 Platinum.

The shoe’s upper is made up of premium mesh that promotes adaptability. This also provides breathability as it has larger openings in high-heat areas.

3D Printed overlays are also added to the upper to seamlessly wrap the foot to increase the security of the shoe when running.

The Gel Nimbus 21 Platinum is also wrapped with reflective materials for visibility enhancement, especially during low-light hours.
