Overall, I'd say for comfort, this is a pretty standard feeling, retro running shoe but let's be honest, Asics didn't bring this house for people to run in again.

  • The Gel Kinsei OG is strategically intended for neutral runners who want to experience better performance from a sport style shoe by Asics. The upper area of the shoe uses the mesh material. This is meant to keep the foot fresh and dry at all times during the running session.
  • This version utilizes a retro look that blends well with the updated features from its original model. This progressive design includes the I.G.S or known as the Impact Guidance System technology. The primary purpose of this is to enhance the natural gait of the runner.
  • Featured in the shoe is the Gel technology. This is essential in providing a great cushioning system that delivers added comfort during the run.
  • The AHAR PLUS heel plug is integrated into the running footwear. This is vital in providing durability to the platform.

The Asics Gel Kinsei OG incorporates a synthetic mesh upper and traditional lace-up closure, both of which contribute to the conventional running shoe fit that is breathable and adjustable. In terms of fit specifications, the Kinsei OG caters to neutral pronators. Thus, it possesses a high arch and a medium-width midfoot area.

Like the Asics Gel Excite 6, the AHAR PLUS outsole is utilized in crafting the Asics Gel Kinsei OG. This material is described to be 50% more durable when compared to the standard Asics High Abrasion Rubber. This component of the shoe offers exceptional durability.

The Rearfoot Gel Technology is integrated into the shoe. This cushioning system is focused on attenuating shock during the impact phase. As a result, a smoother heel-to-toe transition is allowed.

To reduce the weight of the sole, the Trusstic System Technology is used. With the utilization of this technology, the structural integrity of the platform is maintained.

Utilized in crafting the shoe is the I.G.S or the Impact Guidance System technology. Asics added this feature to improve the natural gait cycle of the foot. This is essential in enhancing the heel-strike to the toe-off phase.

Moisture management is encouraged by the Ortholite sock liner, which is a registered trademark of ATP Manufacturing LLC. This material aids in keeping the foot healthy during the running activity.

Integrated into the Asics Gel Kinsei OG is the synthetic mesh upper. This lightweight component of the shoe is focused on keeping the foot fresh and dry at all times. This is significant in providing the desired amount of breathability to maintain proper foot ventilation during the run.

A customized fit is encouraged by the lace-up closure system. As a result, the foot is secured enough during the running session.

The padded collar is integrated into the running shoe. Asics added this feature into the platform to provide a more comfortable running experience to the runner.
