Asics Gel Game followers have another shoe to add to their collection as they step up in the game of tennis. The 7th generation Gel Game is suitable for beginner and seasoned tennis players looking for a trainer that performs on hard and soft courts. This multi-court footgear has an outsole that sports a hybrid rubber pattern, which is intended to provide lateral support.

The Gel Game 7 isn’t at par with the Asics Gel Resolution shoes in terms of durability, but it has top-of-the-line elements that allow wearers to dart around the court comfortably and without slipping.

The base section is made of a FlyteFoam outsole with an outrigger that keeps the aggressive player stable and focused during rigorous matches. It also offers the right amount of grip that’s needed when making quick lateral cuts.

Back and forth movements, short sprints, and directional changes inside the court can make the foot sweaty. This 7th Generation Gel Game is designed with an open mesh upper as well as a moisture-wicking inner sole to maintain ventilation and allow the foot to stay fresh.

Some of the technologies found in high-performance tennis shoes are deposited in this footgear, which is a bonus for recreational, club, and entry-level players needing a reliable court trainer. Plus it is offered at a lower price point than other advanced Asics tennis shoe collections like the Gel Challengers and Gel Resolutions.

Traction. Since the sport involves sliding and abrupt multi-directional changes, players would benefit a lot from trainers made up of a stable base. Such element is seen in the Asics Gel Game 7 which offers traction be it on hard or soft court.

Durability. The outsole has a streak-free, non-marking characteristic. It doesn’t have the 6-month durability guarantee, but it is hard-wearing and ready for long matches.

Stability. For extra stability, it has an outrigger. Such a protruded section under the forefoot offers balance during lateral movements.

Support. Midfoot stability is essential to any tennis shoe as the sport involves a series of lateral movements. Excessive torsion prevents stable movement, which is why most tennis shoes are made up of support platforms in the arch area.

Like the majority of Asics tennis shoes, this entry-level Gel Game comes with the Trusstic System, which is the shoe’s stability anchor. Such resin structure suppresses rotation of the foot while granting outward turning.

Cushioning. Asics Gel Game 7 uses the silicone-based Gel, a proprietary cushioning property initially found in Asics running shoes. This soft pad is lodged in the forefoot that capably absorbs shock and disperses it under the ball of the foot for better take-offs during serves and volleys.

Surrounding the forefoot Gel pad and the rest of the midsole is a dense EVA (ethyl vinyl acetate) foam that helps lessen the amount of shock during motion.

The OrthoLite sockliner aids in wicking out moisture keeps the foot fresh throughout prolonged games. Such an element can be removed to accommodate medical orthotics.

Working as an outer covering of the shoe is a blend of mesh with synthetic leather overlays. These combined materials offer comfort, support, breathability, and flexibility in a lightweight format. It’s also built with a wide heel cage that serves as rearfoot stability.

  • Some of the colorways available for women are white, blue coast, papaya, and laser pink with hits of silver.
  • Color variations for men are black/ cherry tomato, black/razor blue, black/sour yuzu, white/ black
