  • The 4th version of the Asics Gel FujiTrabuco is a running shoe that was made to function well on varied surfaces and conditions. Protective features are placed in certain sections to shield the foot from any danger than may come up when exploring or adventuring. The upper is comfortable and the platform is plush & responsive.
  • Protection, traction and stability are some of the important qualities that runners are constantly expecting when it comes to trail running. This running shoe has components and features that deliver these services in large amounts. High quality, tried-and-true materials & technologies band together to give the runner a smooth and effective running experience.
  • The upper uses a material that gives fit that resembles wearing a sock. The mesh material is soft & responsive, while the material overlays secure the foot snugly. The upper unit essentially hugs the foot and prevents any slippage.
  • The sole unit features some of the most reliable platform technologies on the market. A lightweight foam gives exceptional underfoot cushioning and durable support that doesn’t break down easily, and forefoot & heel impact protection units effectively guard the foot from shock.

The Asics Gel FujiTrabuco 4 is true to its size. It is available in sizes that adhere to the regular measurements when it comes to length. The available width is medium, so runners whose feet are medium-sized can acclimate well to it. The semi-curved shape allows the natural shape of the foot to fit well inside it.

Just like the popular Asics Gel Nimbus 21, the Gel FujiTrabuco also uses the AHAR® or the Asics High Abrasion Resistant Rubber which is a strong layer of carbon rubber that protects the rest of the sole unit from wear and tear. It doesn’t peel off quickly and it gives reliable traction over the trails.

The Trail-Specific Outsole design uses gripping lugs that face opposite directions. These outsole protrusions hold onto the ground efficiently because it is their purpose to give multi-surface traction. Uphill and downhill traversals become much easier because of this.

A Rock Protection Plate in the forefoot section shields the toes from stones and other trail debris.

The Solyte® mid-sole unit is made from a durable yet responsive material. It offers lightweight cushioning, a bit of bounce to each step, and support that lasts long. It doesn’t lose integrity quickly, so the platform remains efficient, even after many uses.

The Gel® Cushioning System is a silicon-based unit that’s placed in the heel and forefoot sections of the Gel FujiTrabuco 4. It essentially protects the foot and the sole unit from impact and shock.

A Trusstic® System acts as a foundation that retains the structural integrity of the shoe. It doesn’t have a substantial weight, so it doesn’t make the sole unit feel like it’s dragging the runner down

The mesh material used for the upper unit is breathable and comfortable. It doesn’t limit the natural movement of the foot or make the unit feel restrictive. Air is constantly introduced to the interior environment, so the foot stays dry and cool.

Synthetic materials were used to make the overlays. These upper add-ons have stitched-on and fused sections. They secure the foot in a snug wrap that’s reliable. They work with the lacing system, so when the shoelaces are adjusted they cause the upper to follow suit, making the fit customizable.

A Gusseted Tongue helps in keeping dust and small debris from entering the shoe. A Lace Garage tucks the laces away to prevent any unnecessary unraveling of the knots.  These uppers features are also used in the shoe's latest version, the Gel FujiTrabuco 7.

An external Clutch Counter is an exoskeleton that holds onto the heel and locks it down. It prevents any slips or accidental shoe removals.
