Updates to Asics FuzeX Spirit

  • The Asics FuzeX Spirit is a collection that features the prominent colors of Japan, Brazil, England and USA. This limited edition set of color-ways are appealing, and they add flair to a running shoe that’s gaining its own prominence in the world of running. Complementing its look are high quality components that ensure a smooth and comfortable running experience on the roads.
  • The upper unit of this running shoe utilizes a mesh material that wraps around the foot in a secure and comfortable way. A snug fit is given because of this sturdy yet flexible coverage. It’s also water-resistant, so running in wet conditions becomes less taxing. A seamless construction allows the foot to stay free from irritation while wearing this shoe.
  • The mid-sole unit features a cushioning technology that’s new to the Asics set of components. Foam is mixed with the proprietary Gel® cushioning system, and they create a plush platform that’s lightweight and springy. It is able to absorb shock during the striking phase, and then propel the runner forward during toe-off.
  • High quality rubber is placed in the outsole of the Asics FuzeX Spirit. Featuring high resistance to abrasion, it responsibly protects the shoe from wear and tear, keeping it safe and extending the lifespan of the sole unit. It’s also responsible for traction, so adequate surface control is afforded to the runner.

Asics FuzeX Spirit size and fit

The Asics FuzeX Spirit has a regular running shoe length. Men and women are going to find the right size for them, though it is worth noting that the correct sizing scheme for women is to add 1.5 sizes to the men’s size. The width that’s available is medium, therefore accommodating those with medium sized feet. The semi-curved shape ushers the runner in the shoe with ease as it follows the natural curvature of the human foot.

Outsole

AHAR® or the Asics High Abrasion Resistant Rubber is the material used for the Asics FuzeX Spirit’s outsole unit. Made from durable carbon rubber, it is able to shield the rest of the sole unit from wear and tear. It’s also responsible for the traction the runner gets during the running sessions. Turning, swerving and braking are much easier because of this layer.

Midsole

The fuzeGEL is the amalgamation of the Gel® Cushioning System and foam. It makes the heel area more resilient against impact and shock, while rendering the front section more responsive to the natural motions of the wearer’s foot.

The platform is in full contact with the ground, so consistent cushioning and support are afforded to the entire length of the foot. It also allows the runner to be more confident when tacking the running sessions because their feet are always engaged to perform more efficiently even through the gait cycle.

The 8mm drop encourages the runner to transition more speedily through the gait cycle. The process of landing the foot on the ground and lifting it is faster and more effective.

Upper

Synthetic materials and mesh make up the upper unit of the Asics FuzeX Spirit. It wraps around the foot comfortably, making sure that it is kept in place. It is resistant to water, so runners are capable of tackling mildly wet conditions during their runs.

The seamless construction of the upper allows runners to wear this shoe without socks. It mimics a sock-like fit, which basically means that the interior chamber is free from irritation or blister-causing folds in the fabric.

The ComforDry™ Sock Liner and Lasting maintain a healthy and clean interior environment for the foot. It has antimicrobial and anti-moisture capabilities, so the shoe remains free from sweat and odor.
