Who should buy the Asics FujiTrabuco Pro

The "Pro" in the Asics FujiTrabuco Pro signifies the shoe's racing properties. It's light and agile, and is perfect for runners looking for a:

  • fast trail shoe that shines in 20k distance and under
  • speedster that can tackle any trail (rocky, steep slopes, mud, sand, etc.)

Who should NOT buy the Asics FujiTrabuco Pro

If you're looking for a fast marathon or ultra shoe, the FujiTrabuco Pro is too firm to be comfortable.

Fast and protective

The Asics FujiTrabuco Pro is a trail shoe designed for racing. It gets its speed not from the Flyte Foam midsole, but its rock plate. Its flexibility provides some energy return; hence, the fast ride.

Even better, the combination of the stone plate and firmer foam shields the foot from jagged rocks and roots. Stepping it up, the shoe's upper is composed of a multi-layered mesh. It keeps out small stones and debris and locks the foot in place.

Tough grip

Experts consider the AsicsGrip outsole the real star of the show. It has 6mm multi-directional lugs that bite into everything, including soft surfaces like mud.

In terms of strength, it's in the ranks of Inov-8's Graphene outsole. It's heavy-duty and is more than capable of taking a beating.
